Quote:According to the Yale poll of approximately 800 college students across the country, 51 percent support speech codes to regulate what can be said by both their peers and faculty alike. Only 36 percent outright oppose such bans on allegedly improper speech.

Quote:Furthermore, a whopping 63 percent of students believe professors ought to be required to issue “trigger warnings” when coursework could be considered offensive or upsetting.

Quote:35 percent of students said that despite the First Amendment’s unambiguous wording, it doesn’t protect “hate speech.”

pu$$ies.
there are also those that abhor that notion.....

regardless, the ones that 'get it' know they are fk'd.....

just had a former employee start his own biz.....

some of them listen.....it's pretty cool to see ears pop for the first time.....

that's my job.....it's the only one I care about....

my daughter is 16.....I had to make a choice.....I surround myself with them and try to pay attention....

it's a trip with some......
This is how free speech dies... politely..

Really? I thought yesterday's pointless debate was all about are kids born in the early to mid 80s really millennials?

Glad I didn't stick around for that epic repartee...carry on old men with your bitchin' about the young at the back of the bait shop.

This is a mostly blue state phenomenon. Sorry if that comes off as glib but it's true.
Weak. Gen X strong.
I think weak might be the understatement of the year.
MUH FEELS
Kind of hard to take anything college kids say as gospel. I mean, they are in a closed environment hidden from the real world. I mean, I didn't know everything when I was in college.

I didn't know much, but I knew this kind of schit wasn't the real world... and my background was a relatively privledged, upper-middle class upbringing.

Well, if peopled worked before college I guess they knew a little about the real world while in college. I always got a kick out of the people with blue or red hair, etc that looked all prim and proper graduation day. That blue and red hair, etc was gone. The real wold is an eye opener.
How'd I end up in the middle of a "get the f*** off my lawn" circlejerk?
Why are a bunch of northeastern wimps suddenly the poster children for millennials?

Believe it or not, that type of crap isn't the norm.

Ha! Mine wasn't blue or red but it was half way down my back. I cut it shortly before the job search. Oh well, maybe when I retire in another 30 years I'll grow it back.

Because a student group at Yale did a poll. As you know, polls are indisputable fact.
