Give credit where it is due. NIU showed guts and a will to win despite suffering two key injuries, 2 missed snaps and less than optimal execution.
Toledo came into the game as the team with the best record, but thought that NIU would lay down and allow Toledo to have a perfect season.
Excuses are not the hallmark of a winning team.
Toledo's performance was not good enough to win last night.
Look to improve and when the next game arrives Toledo should execute better than it has in any other game.
Great teams look to improve.
Toledo beat itself. It would have lost to any decent team with that performance. Some of it is also on the Coaches. Just need not to make the same mistakes again. Critical point of the season right now.

It's perspective. In the end NIU beat a very good team and Toledo lost to a very good team.
We all need to keep in mind that Toledo beat a good sec team in ot, NIU lost to the number one team in the nation by a td on the road. It's an up year for the MAC with an very exciting division race in what may be the 2nd best G5 division.
Whatever happens in the division let's hope we all see our teams win our bowl games the MAC will put 5 very good teams out there this bowl season
