I'm running out of solutions.

Maybe burn down Ford Field and start from scratch.

Sell the team to LA, and hope for expansion.
Bill Jr needs to step in for a couple of years.

London Lions has a nice ring to it.
I hate being a lions fan. Fans need to stop buying merch and filling Ford field... Nothing will force the Fords to make any wholesale changes until they are hit in the pocket book.
Sooo...Lombardi wasn't the prob after all?

Reminder, Packers kick off tonite at 8:30.

Go Pack Go!
PFM is going to check into shotgun, audible every down and throw for 450, 3tds and serve notice to Kubiak and Elway that they didn't win with Reeves' system back then either.
^ Not with the noodle he has for an arm now.
His arm is fine, big wives tale.

Imagine a 92 year old lady running the team. Who knows what is behind her decision making.

Caldwell might bake cookies for her, Mayhew brings her fresh tubes of Denture Cream, Jim Bob Cooter drives her around and calls her Miss Daisy.

Mrs. F: "Jim brought me shortbreads this week, let's keep him until he brings me a mince meat pie. I don't like mince meat! Where's Wayne, I need a fresh diaper!

Junior: We fired Fontes, mom"......

Ford family is very heirarchal. To the point of near failure. It's aways been their history, and unless it hits critical mass, Bill Jr. will be hands off.

This is history repeating itself. I just assumed Jr. would step in when William Clay passed. When he does, things will change.

Karen Davidson may not have been quite that old, but that didn't work out too well, either...
Caldwell was 26-63 in eight years as HC at Wake Forest (yes, tough job - but Jim Grobe came in from Ohio U. and won).

He went from 14-2 to 10-6 to 2-14 (yes without injured Peyton Manning) after taking over for Tony Dungy in Indy.

In '12 Ravens ranked 16th in NFL in Total Offense, 10th in Scoring and won Super Bowl after he took over as Intertim OC near end of season.

The next season when he was OC full year they were 29th in Total Offense, 25th in scoring.

And then the Fords hired him.

Anybody seeing a trend?
My dad works at "Fords".

Often heard around our neighborhood in the day.

I read about a study done on generational wealth. It showed that by the 3rd generation the wealth was petering out. Inherited wealth tended to be squandered and businesses declined.

Maybe when it comes too easy you lose the drive that the founder had.

I watched a documentary on Netfix about the descendants of Johnson Pharmacutucals. Just a completely messed up family. I've inherited money before, nothing life changing, but I'm not sure id want a business or large sum of money dropped in my lap. I think the real journey is building it and earning it.

Awwww yeah.

I think PFM served notice that this was his house.
'PFM' threw zero TDP.

That game was dominated by Broncos' defense and running attack. Manning contributed by being caddie.

Oh please. You are saying you'd reject Ford Motors or Johnson and Johnson? Really? Smiles.

He checked into those TD runs that crushed the Packers.

Because he was running the show last night. They let Peyton be....PFM.

No, I'd take it in a heartbeat. Just saying, that trust fund earners are different because they didn't take the risk journey that the original earner took.

Watch an episode of "The Real Housewife's." The guys that earn it tend to be grounded. The trophy wives that spend it are Pigs.

Red, does that remind you of anyone?

Very... very true indeed. However, Martha is old enough to be considered one of the trust fund earners. I don't see her as a trophy wife in that family.... She seems very knowledgeable and we have yet to see how she handles any staff shake-up... she might just be the viper that everyone seems to want at the top... This is Caldwell's first season of disappointment... and sure... its year two... but it will mark the first time we really get to see what Martha does under these circumstances... as compared to the standard Bill Sr. set with regard to loyalty to a fault.
