Continue to be impressed with Navy. I think they are the best one loss G5 team based on their offense and coaching. I really believe they will eventually capture the Access Bowl slot in the very near future. THoughts on Navy?
They are still in the middle of the Acess slot race for this year.
or Temple

A lot will be figured out against Memphis and Houston
temple??
they barely lost to nd...
navy was kinda blownout by them

but beyond that ..app state and marshall are the only other 1 loss and neither are as good as their record and are one loss becuase they play in weaker conference and havent played the mediocre teams in that conference yet

and we'll see what navy looks like without reynolds before calling them access bowl

Great point. I just think Navy has not received enough press for their efforts this year. This is another very strong team in the American.
If Memphis does our usual "spot the opponent 2 scores before we really start playing" move (as we've done 5 times this year), we will lose this game. We need to come out focused and execute. Navy doesn't play around. We also need to avoid having over 100 penalty yards like we have the last 2 games.
Looking forward to the Memphis Navy showdown. Should be a great game for college football fans.
Memphis needs to come out firing and take a lead. If Navy takes a lead that triple option will suck the life out of you
Temple fans say otherwise. But lots of respect for Navy. AAC is solid.

I wonder if some ECU fans tend to overrate Navy because the Middies have owned the Pirates (Navy leads the series 4-1; avg score is 48-29)?

I've watched a lot of navy football and this is the best team I've ever seen. Now, does that mean we can hang with Memphis or Houston? We'll find out this weekend

Agreed on both points.
Navy deserves to be ranked! Y'all are dangerous!

USF had an excellent opportunity to beat navy, as we were leading into the 4th quarter. usf hurt itself with dropped passes and dumb penalties that could extended drives.

Both Houston and Memphis won't have that problem as they are both way are more efficient and explosive on offense than USF, so the easy FGs USF missed are likely TDs and would force Navy to throw the ball which is not their strength.

Defensively, I don't think UH or MSU can stop Navy but you will be able to out score them....so I don't expect a close game.
Did you know: Navy does not go by Middies. It's either Midshipmen or Mids. It's in their media guide not to call them middies.

FWIW, Navy is in ESPN's top 25.

I call them Middies.
Will be the best 2 loss team in the nation after next weekend.
