We're in a bind, but we aren't the worst.

What's happening that's different from most of the teams that haven't been good lately is that there isn't a sign that we're a step away from being good.

No, you're not the worst team. Some of you guys just cry when you're not great, lol.

A couple of weeks ago, I thought most Pirate fans were feeling like they had a pretty good team. Now you're 4-5, with USF, UCF and UC left. I'm thinking you have to beat USF to go bowling, at 6-6.

ECU is not the worst team in this conference, having a down year but you'll bounce back.

I just noticed something odd. Based on the remaining schedules for each team, and considering who would likely be favored in most of these games, it looks to me like both USF and ECU will have a total of five wins elsewhere, so the upcoming ECU-USF game could likely be for a bowl berth.

The winner could likely finish 6-6, while the loser might go 5-7.

ECU, currently 4-5. Remaining games: USF, @ UCF, UC.

USF, currently 4-3. Remaining games: @ Navy, @ ECU, Temple, UC, @ UCF.

They're not having a down year, this is the first game they lost that they weren't supposed to going into it (yeah, yeah, they were technically favored against Temple).

I don't know how down we are as a team from last year, but our QB situation is certainly down. I think it's as much that the AAC is up this year from last and ECU is not. UConn, USF, and Temple in the East are definitively better. I picked UConn to win in the prediction thread because we didn't beat them very decisively at home last year, they are better while we are not, and the game was at their place.

I hope whoever we have at QB next year is the real deal. QB situation is killing us.

I'd like to revisit the statement made earlier by SOME rather cocky ECU fans (not all, most are cool) that they'd wax NIU this year...

Yep right now that game is a toss up.

As a long time Tiger fan, I completely understand the pessimism by ECU after last night's game, but ECU is not the worst team in the AAC and still has a good chance of making a bowl.

My team Tulane is one of the worst. Turnaround will be hopefully next season when new AD is on board and he/she fires our current coach CJ Johnson who is out of his league as a head coach. Tulane men's and women's basketball along with baseball are all on the way up with great recruiting..

Been a lot of silly post on here. This is by far the silliest. ECU has very good talent and has played a lot of tough competition.....and beaten some of it. Solidly middle of the pack, anywhere from 4 to 7
