When/if we start dominating or beating or holding our own against WMU I'm sure there will be more than a few EMU fans who will do the same. Every fan group has its idiots. The real idiot I can't stand is Bob Wickersham - hence me putting him on my ignore list. Bob stirs the pot and always gets the responses he is looking for. You guys spoon feed him and his desire to be the center of attention. He may not go away when you finally decide to put him on your ignore list but at least you won't see his garbage. You never know, he might go away, but giving his tripe credence certainly isn't working. Every thread Bob posts in become one centered around him and his asinine comments. Sorry but that makes this the Bob forum and not the EMU forum and that's a waste of space.

Thanks, Rob.

Bob is now on my ignore list.

Whenever EMU loses in football this forum blows up in negativity which is incredible. And quite frankly it is way, way too much.

P.S., Rob, I owe you an apology from earlier this year. Wanted to send you a PM, but you don't have it turned on.

Frankly if the defense can improve as much as the offense has between CC's first and second year then we'll be on the right track.

Steve,

I agree. This has been a difficult enough season without making it more so by disparaging every aspect of the team/program/university like Bob does. As far as I can remember, no one realistically expected EMU to win the MAC West this season and most were hopeful that the team would just show improvement over last season. In some ways the team has improved (offense) but it still has a long way to go. I'm not going anywhere and I believe Coach Creighton has a vision for this program. I am confident that the record this season is not what Coach Creighton envisioned and that he is disappointed as well; however, he is in a position where he has to remain positive because he has young men around him who rely on that positive and uplifting (never say die) attitude. In other words, he isn't some schmuck, like me, who has access to a forum to vent his frustration without any real ramifications. I do believe in what Coach Creighton is trying to do. It is obvious that our program was in far worse shape than we originally thought and that it is going to take longer than one or two seasons to turn it around. Like I said, I'm not going anywhere.

As far as apologizing. No worries. Yeah, I was angry at that moment but this is an internet forum and not real life. We vent, we cajole, we support and we all have a common passion for EMU athletics. In my support for our Eagles I hope that our athletes represent the university well, remain injury free and successfully complete their educations at EMU. That's what it's all about..the student athlete. I don't believe any one of these young men play poorly on purpose. I do believe that, for the most part, these young men are playing up to their fullest potential. I also believe that mental mistakes and a real lack of athletic ability contribute to some of the issues. One of these problems can be corrected (mental mistakes) but the other (lack of FBS athletic ability) is more a carry over from the previous coaching staff. All of these things will sort themselves out. Until then, we really have to support each other as EMU fans and ride out the rough times until things get better.

You're good in my book. You've always been positive and encouraging and a real asset to this forum.

Rob
Thanks, Rob. I was definitely wrong factually and wrong to make the statement.

I actually tried a while back to PM you to apologize and couldn't.

It would have been a private apology.
