Does anyone else have issues with Monarch media and the odu sports app. I swear there is an issue every time I want to watch something. Either no sound or just doenst load. I paid a decent amount for it and so far it has def not been worth it. It needs a major overhaul!

it kind of sucks, I agree. its basically the same as it was 10 years ago. you'd think they'd be able to upgrade it. the problem for me is that its usually the only way I can watch a lot of the home basketball games. I hated that they took FB off this year (and am only assuming they are going to have BB this season).

They did have one football game on (I think it was App. State.) TV Contract issues I assume. Should have more basketball games, similar to last year.
It was pretty good 2 years ago. I really enjoyed it. But then they quit showing all the home games like they used to, so its not worth the cost anymore. I was thinking I might buy it for basketball season this year, but if its having issues I'll steer clear of it.
It is the TV contracts. Streaming rights goes with them. When we moved up, most of the games got put on TV (somewhere) and most of the video streams were no longer allowed.

Which begs the question, are we better off being on TV in Hampton Roads, Richmond and maybe a few other locales, or online globally? With options like chromecast now easy and affordable, I don't mind streaming at all. If I can get it online, its simple to show it on my big screen.
The question is what makes more money: CUSA tv contracts or selling ads for on line broadcasts? While streaming is better for fans, it doesn't make enough money to offset the tv contracts (even with subscriptions). ...for now.
Real question is when will American Sports Network finally get their act together and offer regular live streams for games. If they had this, there would be no issues.
Wanted to hear the postgame presser on Monarch Media .... skips, doesn't play right, pauses. This is not the first issue I have had. Either the technology is weak, or the technical crew doesn't know what they are doing. Whatever the case, the system is broken and someone in the Athletics Department needs to get it fixed. This is the only football related site that has these issues. Com'on ODU, step up -- this should be a no brainer at this point in the program. 03-banghead
I never could get the ODU InGame app to connect today.
