they are stalling the decision for a second day

temple/nd seems like the obvious choice....but it seems like "the bring gameday to the flag idea" is something they are really interested in

those not familiar, a Wazzu fan goes to every gameday waving a huge wazzu flag
and this might be the best chance at having a sorta important game for them
ND/Temple deserves it. ND draw has to mean something also. Waiting for the Memphis-Houston week also.
I thought it was already decided.
There's no way an unranked, 5-2 team with one loss to an FCS school should be in the same breath as a top 25 7-0 team. If these were blind resumes no one would think twice.

Stanford and ND are about the same so it comes down to WSU/Temple.

It's complete crap the decision wasn't obvious and if they chose WSU it's total name brand BS.
That FCS team could beat everyone in the AAC on the right night.
Would they NOT do it because of the tv deal between ND and NBC?
On ABC. That should be the big determining factor.

BS, but not bc of name brand.... most football fans could not tell you what conference they are in. Been bad so long(until this year), well this also sounds like Temple. But I doubt it has anything to do with name brand. Hopefully Temple gets it.

If its at WSU its a true gameday on campus. Temple hosts there will be a ND takeover if it is at the Linc or near. If on campus might work out for Temple.
They are trying to figure out the logistics in philly. Apparently the city isn't letting them set up at the independence mall or art museum. ESPN and temple want this to happen but we will see if everything will work out.

Games on ABC.... Nothing to do with ND. AAC game.
opinion by pesik: i think there is some behind the scenes issue with temple...most of the espn host basically said hey expect temple and sources have already said they were coming to temple

the Wazzu push only came as of late....but things to keep in mind: in my opinion if it was a hard decision it would be a coin flip make a decision and just go....but the are stalling..it doesnt take that long to make a decision

the exectuive of gameday, lee fitting, tweets said he was "grinding" for a site..it didnt sound like it was decision thing

things to note: espn doesnt want to do it on temple's campus but independence hall, something that isnt owned by temple, or has any affiliation to college sports (they cant just decide to take it)...it will also require alot of city and state permissions as some busy roads will likely be shut down...its also the weekend (non of the offices are open on the weekend). why i think they are stalling till monday

my guess is that gameday trys to secure it early monday if not they go to the back up plan of wazzu who has an incampus stadium

you think you are being a realist but i honestly cant stand your negativity toward houston and the league .. most of your "realist" opinions are normally just wrong

portand state has already lost to an fcs team...barely beat a 2-6 fcs team by 4 this weekend but according to c2 would beat anyone in the AAC on the right night
Disclaimer about that flag: It is the same flag every week, but not the same person. They find an alumni in the area of each game and ship it to them.

Gee thanks, Philly.

But they destroyed North Texas State
Makes more sense for Gameday to be at undefeated UH v. Undefeated Memphis on November 14. Gameday is not going to visit 2 AAC locales in same season.

No, it doesn't.
Stanford is going to crush Washington State like a grape. If Gameday goes to Wazzu, it is the big boys way of showcasing Stanford as a legitimate candidate for the CFP since the reminder of the PAC 12 looks like poor 1950's PCC material.
Philly doesn't control Independence Hall / Independence Mall; they're controlled by the National Park Service.
The games aren't even, Temple / ND all the way.

The TV deals don't really matter. Both ND and Pac-12 deal with NBC/Fox as well so it's not a favored son deal.

I agree it is logistics mostly, but it could be some P5 pressure as well.

Figure it ends up ND/Temple. And we might get two gamedays. I'd think an undefeated Memphis vs. Houston game would be a big get as well. But a lot of time between here and there.
