With news that O'Leary has resigned from UCF today, who are the coaches FBS wise who have either resigned or been fired this year?

**EDIT: I will add them here too as they happen so that there is a composite list instead of reading through several pages and seeing more names**

Beckman - Illinois
McCarney - North Texas
Spurrier - South Carolina
Sarkisian - Southern Cal
Edsall - Maryland
O'Leary - UCF
Golden - Miami, FL
Kill - Minnesota
Beamer - Va Tech (retiring at end of season)
Chow - Hawaii
Pinkel - Missouri (will finish the season)
Berry - UL Monroe
Shafer - Syracuse
Rhoades - Iowa St

I've probably missed a couple but these are the ones that I can currently find

The fact that the QB coach was named interim instead of the OC or DC was intriguing. The OC is now going to get $700k over the next 24 months since he wasn't named as successor
I would look for Purdues coach to get the axe also
WOw is this a record for mid season fires? Coaches leaving left and right and just about everyone's replacements list Brohm and Holliday from Marshall for everyone of these openings....Fun times, we are in for a wild ride..

My guess for soon to be next is Rutgers.
What gets me is the same bad to mediocre P5 schools fire a HC every 3-4 years. It takes about 5-6 years for a compete rebuild which is what 1/2 of these places need. The jury is still out on UCF if they need a rebuild or just a few key talented players in key positions, one being a QB.
Holliday to Miami or UCF? and Brohm to Illinois?
Of course I never want Doc to leave, but he is pushing 60. You don't see many P5 schools hiring 60 year olds to revive the program.
could Miami buck the trend, because its not the most attractive of jobs? Holliday for 5 years with a designated heir?
The Miami job worries be a little. Every HC dreams of winning a National Championship. Miami would be a great fit for him and I would HATE to see him go...Of course, he's probably run out of players because he'd have to kick 3/4 of them off of the team.. 03-lmfao

That being said, Doc is a good 'ol WV boy who is living on a farm in Winfield... Could've had a University home...Didn't want it. I think he likes where he is in regard to Marshall.
SI has Doc linked to WVU, for ya'll (at MU) sake I hope not
Purdue, Illinois, Rutgers.....great places to go if you want to destroy your own career for a higher paid 3-4 year tenure.

^THIS
I'm not so sure Doc would take the WVU job. I know that AlcoHolgersen in on the hot seat, but who the hell would ever want to go to MORGANTOWN??? 03-lmfao
Unfortunately, coaches almost always follow the money regardless of how historically bad the program is. I mean, I don't really blame them. But it is what it is. We simply cannot come close to paying what even the P5 sewage can pay.

Historically, South Carolina is an absolutely terrible program.
Rutgers may have been the first college football team, but for the exception of a couple years under what's his face, that program has been a steaming pile of turds for that 100+ years.
Illinois, Purdue....Big 10 whipping boys for how long?
Welll, Purdue did have the Brees years. And that's about it. I think they were actually decent back in the early and mid 70's.

In the last 12 years Miami has went from 80K in the Orange Bowl in the stands and winning 11-12 games a year to 42K (official attendance, more like 29-30K) in Joe Robbie, Pro Player, Sun Life, what ever they wanna call it tomorrow and thanks to Donna Shalala they went from requiring a 21 to requiring a 26 to play at Miami which eliminates about 70-75% of Miami recruiting and probably 60% of recruiting in Florida.

The best name Ive seen floated at Miami is Greg Schiano. He won at BE depleted Rutgers who requires an ACT 25 to play.

In the last 11 years Miami has an avg of 6.8 wins per year. Not a very attractive job to me. Especially in a P5 conference. Miami has/is becoming more like a Rutgers/Vandy/Wake Forest instead of a Florida State/Alabama/Stanford.
