Big week for the American undefeated teams.

Temple vs Notre Dame

If the league wins both the talk about the league will intensify

True. I'll be surprised if Houston does not beat Vandy, and I'll be surprised if Temple does beat ND.

ECU @ UConn ESPNU
MY LINE: ECU 31-27 ECU has the D to win this and UConn hasn't been able to score a lot but somehow, with how we have played the last few 4th quarters I expect this to be closer than I would otherwise pick.

Saturday 10/31
UCF @ UC ESPNN
MY LINE: UC 35-18 If OLeary had still been at UCF, I might have thought differently about my score but not it seems like a trap game to pick what UCF might do...do they rally around OLeary leaving? Do they fold worse than they have already?

USF @ Navy CBSSN
MY LINE: Navy 33-27 I am riding the USF hype train a little bit but I think Navy is the better team and they are at home.

Tulsa @ SMU ESPNN
MY LINE: Tulsa 45-23 With the way SMU has been playing I think Tulsa gets over on this one.

Tulane @ #_ Memphis CBSSN
MY LINE: Memphis: 45-13 The way both teams are looking so far this season this could be a ugly game for Tulane.

Vanderbilt @ #_ Houston ESPN2
MY LINE: Houston 35-17 Vandy has been holding teams down in scoring but not of them are as potent as Houston from what I have seen.

#_ ND @ #_ Temple ABC
MY LINE: Temple 31-30 ND has been scoring a good amount of points but Temple has been very stingy on defense. The catch kind of comes in with who each have played though.... my close edge is going Temple's way because of hosting ND and they will be the victor by scoring last to pull ahead.

Tricks or treats in week 9?

Tricks or treats in week 9?

I follow Vandy a bit because I live in Nashville and I will be surprised with a Houston blow out. Vandy has a first rate defense. However, I will be very pleased if Houston crushes them.
ECU 24 @ UConn 14 - ECU will have to play better than last week to win, but I see them bouncing back.

UCF 21 @ UC 45 - UC wins big.

USF21 @ Navy 24 - Could see USF pulling the upset, but Navy has the edge at home.

Tulsa 45 @ SMU 35 - Tulsa needs to get the W here to have a chance at a bowl.

Tulane 17 @ Memphis 51 - Memphis big at home.

Vanderbilt 17 @ Houston 38 - Houston should win big at home, but Vandy did play well last week so they need to be ready.

ND 35 @ Temple 27 - ND will not be looking past Temple at all. I think Temple will play a good game, but ND will play a little better.

I noticed how well they have kept teams from scoring... Houston just has looked to have a better offense than any of the teams they have faced so far.
Friday 10/30
ECU @ UConn ESPNU - I'll take UConn 24-21

Saturday 10/31
UCF @ UC ESPNN - UCF will probably have an emotional bounce but once the sugar rush is gone, Cincy will prevail 35-17

USF @ Navy CBSSN - this one will be interesting and I think USF's hot roll will continue physically dominating a smaller Navy team for a 28-20 win

Tulsa @ SMU ESPNN - Tulsa will gas SMU and take a 42-21 win

Tulane @ #_ Memphis CBSSN - game film review Sunday will be a horror movie for Tulane - Memphis wins 59 - 10

Vanderbilt @ #_ Houston ESPN2 - the most interesting game of the week - can Houstons offense make a dent against Vandy's defense? I figure they will and Houston's defense will be more than enough to keep Vandy's offense off the field. time of possession will eventually gas out Vandy and Houston will break away at the end to win - 35-14

#_ ND @ #_ Temple ABC - THE MAIN EVENT OF THE WEEK - Temple will have all the emotional edges but Notre Dame is not your average bear. this will be a slug fest and I think Temple will fall in a valiant fight - 24-28

IF UConn pulled it off.... that score seems like what it would be.

I think Memphis can do that, but its hard for me to put out there 50+ points on any team as a pick

*IF* ND wins, the difference might be a little more.... maybe up to a TD.

Comments.

I expect UCF to give us a shot, interim HC Barret is a UC grad. Too much weaponry on UC offense though.
All I can do is cry and wonder after UConn OWNED ECU....
