Ironic that another Florida team (Miami, FL) got crushed by a similar score 58-0. Some are calling for Miami's HC, Al Golden, to be fired (step down) as well.

Al Golden's gone which will put more pressure on GOL.

Big difference that Golden has been in hot seat at UM for awhile. Gol was God to most UCF fans until this year. Which just goes to show you fans are fickle and have short memories

What?! We were happy he got us to the show yes but to say we thought he as "god" or anything remotely close is absurd. This school has been calling for his head for years.

Not those MiA from this board. Those UCF fans were kissing Gol's behind after the Fiesta Bowl and even last year
Don't forget that O'Leary has been the biggest key to the recent success of your program. You won the Fiesta bowl the year before last.

You are having a down year. Roll the dice and get a mediocre head coach you could be down for many more.
I have been a Gol supporter, and think he has been good for UCF. but it is time for him and Hitt to sit down and negotiate an acceptable buy out. He is 70 and can not promise kids he will be here, and it hurts recruiting as well. I personally don't want to see him fired, but it is hard for him to leave 5mil sitting on the table. Let the New AD hire his own man. If GOL was 62 rather than 69 I would say give him another year, but he isn't.

This!

Rhumor from Kyke Isreal is that GOL won't be there next year and he guarantees it
Some UCF posters make it very hard to feel the Knights pain but talk about falling off the face of the map in one season. Didn't you guys go 9-4 last season?
And were 0-8 this season, that is absurd! With the recent success there's no way we should have zero wins the season or depth should be a lot better
What a person needs to know sometimes, is to know when to ride off into the sunset.

That's an entirely fair assessment, some of us thought he'd be on his way out shortly because of his age, hence the retirement questions every off season. Had he retired this last offseason he'd have been remembered more fondly cause then he'd have 7 winning seasons and 5 losing seasons, now he's even closer to .500. The thought is he didn't out of selfishness, as in collect another year of big paycheck and simply hand over the reigns to his sycophant Key, and take the AD, so he'd never quite relinquish power.

He should have never been given the AD position to begin with, his personality isn't the type for handshakes, meet and greets, and soliciting good will and money from donors. He was more concerned about his legacy and getting the win record at UCF.
