This is going to take a special dedicated forum before he moves on. There won't be room for anything else if not.
I guess the alternative is that Fuente is on nobody's radar and we're sitting at 2-4 / 3-3 with a couple of 'moral victories' talking about how we might can still get bowl eligible........
Every top school in the nation will be looking at Fuente. We're the new Boise State. I'll take it.
Well here is the latest from SB Nation.
The top three candidates for the South Carolina job are:
Justin Fuente Current Salary 1.4 million
Tom Herman 1.45 million
Kirby Smart 1.5 million
From what I have read they think that Kirby Smart will be the next coach at South Carolina. I sure hope they are correct in their prediction.

Memphis should never aspire to the "Boise of the south" that's like calling yourself "the Harvard of the south". Memphis just needs to be itself.
Coach Fuente will not go to South Carolina, because they have the ugliest fkn uniforms in college football.

I never understood how a school that has a 16 minimum ACT score entrance requirement could call itself "the harvard of the south."
It's my hope that SC goes after Smart and USC goes the NFL coach. The worst possible scenario is that USC goes after the Oklahoma coach. Its all over if that happens.
Uhh one win over a ole miss does not mean we are like boise st. Boise won several BCS bowls and had a few undefeated seasons under petersen that also won a couple coach of the year awards. we haven't quite gotten close to any of their accomplishments yet. Getting a little ahead of ourselves.

What can any coach do at South Carolina that neither Holtz nor Spurrier were able to do?

Ours weren't anything to get excited before he got here.
They need to worry more about the flood victims instead of trying to steal someone else's coach. They should give that high strung feller that is the interim a chance. He did lead them to victory against Vandy.
