But if we beat a P5 team on our worst day, I can't wait to see us on our best day. #1 player in the MAC hasn't even played much for us and we're picking apart teams. We're the most efficient D against every O we have played. Has Arkansas been held to less than 10 against any team???? Including Bama, TAMU, TT? Nope. Our D is that good. Our O can drop 10 passes and a D will be there to get us the ball back and have another shot. I'm okay with where we are right now. Arkansas State can win the Fun Belt. Will be an 8 or 9 win team. Why would he not be allowed? No one is forced to respond, and no one is forced to read the thread. He seems to be generating a lot of interest, given the length of the threads that he starts. Gee, maybe instead of coming into a Toledo forum to ask a bunch of loyal and biased Toledo fans this question, and being an agitator in the process, why don't you ask the writers and coaches and fans that have them ranked in all of the most popular "people" polls. Or go ask the programmers that have them ranked very high in the computer rankings. Or, call up the oddsmakers and ask them why it is currently Toledo by 14.5.
Sorry you can't see it. As fans, we have watched our team every game, and we understand why we are ranked in the polls. Our team has played hard, our defense has been badass, and we have a lot of talent on offense that is just starting to put things together. If they put it all together against UMass' stellar defense (cough), we'll all be witness to what occurs. The UMass QB is good and they have their star WR. I'm sure they will have some success, they are talented no doubt, but so far it really hasn't produced W's for them. Not sure why it would be any different looking at their past performances against the teams they played. UMass allows 37 pts a game and Toledo allows 13. Good luck with the bet.
I say let him stay and judge the quality of Toledo on the field this week at UMass. Maybe, in addition to being an agitator, he is a savant of some sort...or perhap he has a crystal ball that shows the future, including his future romance with Colin Cowherd.

Who thinks Toledo is any good? They stink!!! So far, they went on the road and barely beat Arkansas from the SEC, then it took OT to beat a Big 12 team. The other four teams, they've beaten by a combined total of 114 points for an average winning margin of almost 30 points. Your right, Toledo stinks!

This is the best response. With Hunt limited by suspension and injuries, plus how poorly the team played against Iowa State, UT teams in the past would have at least two losses right now. I think that's the main thing that separates this team and the quality on defense from the recent teams that have fallen short.

Probably the most important factor is our legacy of being a good program. I don't care what anybody says but the name of the school and their past history goes into the mental side of voting. That being said, Memphis doesn't have that. Beating an SEC team on the road, even a bad one is tough.

Ole Miss is a fraud obviously, they get every lucky bounce in a game against Bama, and then get completely dominated by Memphis. Same story every year with them...wow they recruit so well..they have NFL players...hot start then they fizzle out.
Arky has 3 wins in the past 2 years, the year before that I think they had 0. And iowa state has certainly had years with 0 or 1 wins as well. Both teams are garbage..Cant believe you people can talk yourself into thinking a lucky OT win against ISU is a quality win. Any top 25 year should beat ISU 100 out of 100 times in regulation..in blowout fashion.

If Ole Miss is a fraud, then why do you think Memphis is good? They haven't beaten anyone else. And they played Ole Miss at home, where Toledo beat Arkansas on the road.
Nobody said Iowa State is a quality win. UT played its worst game of the year and still beat them. Iowa State won by a touchdown last year after Toledo led at the half and every single person I know who follows UT football considered that a bad loss. If Iowa State won this year, it would have been a terrible loss.
A loss to UMass tomorrow would be a terrible loss. With what's on the line, it would probably the program's worst loss since getting thumped at Ball State in 1997. Losing to the second worst team in the MAC (Miami is, at this point, the only MAC team worse than UMass) is never good and it would be disastrous this year with how well the Rockets have been playing.

well heres a guy who actually gets it. But there have been people on here saying any P5 win is a great win...which is not the case at all. Iowa State is trash, their coach will be fired soon. Arky is obviously a better win than that but at the end of the day they will only have maybe 4 wins this year.
If Toledo is in fact for real as everyone here thinks, anything other than an absolute beating tomorrow would be worrying.
