I saw it pass by and haven't heard it mentioned...but this was apparently the first time a ranked Ole Miss has lost to an unranked non-conference opponent since October 16, 1976 when they lost to independent South Carolina.

That is simply wrong.
We have beaten them several times since 1976...and we were never ranked.
Let alone they lost to Jacsonville State a few years ago.
Maybe it said as a ranked team they have not lost to a non ranked non conference opponent since 1976.

I was there in 2004 when we beat them last. Sorry for the leaving out crucial detail of stat. A little tired but pumping on adrenaline though I should be a sleep to wake up at 6 am for work.

It's all good my adrenaline is still going strong too. Butterflies were so intense the whole game I couldn't even eat.
