I did some preliminary work & got a quote from Cline Tours. Asked for a quote from Thrasher Bros. , but they had no availability on that date.

Depending on # of riders, it would most likely be in the $30-40 range (rough estimate). Ideally, we'd be leaving Bham (Bartow Arena ) around 2pm, arrive in Auburn around 4pm. Then folks could tailgate or go to the Women's game that starts at 5:30p. We would leave Auburn 45 mins to an hour after final buzzer & return back to Bartow Arena around 1:30 am. There might be an opportunity it to include Women's game tickets in the price if folks wanted to as well.

If you have interest & would be a solid commit to this, let me know how many in your party would be going. This is nothing binding at this point, just wanted to see if this was feasible or if anyone cared to go this route.

Thx.
.
Im in. Seems like a no brainier.
I'd hit up the Facebook page as well.
I need tickets first.

im not saying that its bad that people want to go watch the opener...but i do know of many people that are very disappointed that they cant get tickets to this game, when they never go to Bartow (i know this doesn't really apply to the BlazerTalk crowd)

And so what? It's a historical game. If people want to go see the UAB-Auburn game but don't go to UAB home games, that's fine. That's why we want to play in-state schools...to generate basketball interest.
I agree. I'm all for keeping as many ooc games in state as we can, especially the cupcake games. A&M and asu may not be good programs, but they will draw more local interest than Seattle.

Auburn was a huge addition to the schedule simply because of what is happening. Both schools appear to be headed in a positive direction, and interest is higher than it has been. Bartow can, and will, fill up when good teams come to town. That's always been the case, and I'm sure it will again next year when we host auburn. I cannot imagine our basketball attendance won't improve drastically this year with everything surrounding the program and university at this point. And who knows, maybe some of the fans who go to auburn will be impressed and want to see UAB again in Birmingham?
Let's stay focused here. How many will ride a bus? The man needs a count ASAP.

AB, why not do a poll for potential riders? That would probably work better than this thread.
Someone do one.
With limited available tickets it's going to be difficult to fill a bus

Just said I hope. That's all
(Didn't realize it was historic)

Just so long as those same people don't throw a fit when people say there's no interest bc we play in a half full arena
I think you will find that most f the people going to the gave vs the aubs go to most UAB games regardless of who we play.
