Wasnt at practice today. OC Clay Helton is the interim HC, per Twitter reports.

That just seems like a mess. Scary job when it comes open. Possible big domino effect...

Fuente to USC? (let's get that part over with lol)
Interesting.
Give the job to Helton!

he is the new temp HC apparently.
I agree with the majority of sportswriters saying on twitter this is on Pat Haden, he should have pushed for this after the 'incident' in August, not now.
Sumlin to USC Fuente to A&M

Interesting. That seems like a pretty big jump for the Memphis coach and a somewhat lateral jump for Sumlin.

I bet USC calls Chip Kelly to kick the tires.
Apparently, Sark was sent home this a.m. when he showed up drunk
They want Del Rio
Texas A&M is big.

USC is much bigger though.

Not that any of they is happening.

I read that too. Not a good thing.
they've come a long way...
I once read Barry Switzer's "Bootlegger's Boy" book. He claimed that he was told that it didn't matter if he (Switzer) was busted for cocaine use as long as he WON GAMES.

Don't get me wrong, I think CJF is fantastic and will do well wherever he goes. I do have my doubts that USC or Texas - top 5 programs - would hire the Memphis coach. That is stupid IMO, but it's the main reason Texas passed on Briles...ego.

Freeze & Malzahn were inspired hires...but those programs aren't top programs. It's rare that big programs go out on a limb like that.

Heck, Ole Miss isn't a big program and the Freeze hire was still surprising - it took someone with a conviction/vision to make that call. The hire was mocked, but it turned out great. That's what USC should keep in mind.

Ok we got our Wires crossed...I read the person you were replying to saying that Sumlin would go to USC and Fuente would go to Texas A&M which is essentially an equal program to Ole Miss, so I was talking about Fuente going to A&M

Florida hired McIlwain. That's turned out pretty good so far.

No doubt, but he wasn't their first choice. Rather be lucky than good.
It's being reported on other outlets he was drunk on the sidelines for the ASU game. I'm not saying I firmly believe that...but damn, it's clear the dude has a problem.

Freeze has won nothing but of consequence.

"Texas A&M is essentially an equal program to ole miss"

Bwahahaha Bwahahaha Bwahahaha

You guys need to stick to stuff you know something about. I have no idea what that might be but it's obviously not college football
