Gawd. Poor guy. D3 D2? Pathetic Unfortunate situation, where his good talent ended up.
19-40. But it sounded like he hadn't had the opportunity to really learn the offense yet. I wish him luck there.

D2 -GLIAC
Nothing pathetic about it. Simply a student-athlete going to a nationally recognized, high quality, academically renowned school, working hard, and finding his way, like we've all done, or tried to do.

And you?
Wow, life must be good for Todd "up there". Just don't email him. 03-shhhh
As Fleck said about Caleb Baily, everyone figures it out at a different point. Stewart has a lot of physical tools. I suspect by his junior year he could have been effective.

Hillsdales is D2 not DIII. he's had a month to learn their system. I suspect when he's comfortable in the system he'll be very good

Okay, to clarify I used the p-word meaning his situation, not himself. I take it back because that is over the top of course. It's Unfortunate to end up going D2 when you're a hot QB commodity to a P5 school and end up at a pass-happy G5 -- but then not transfer to another FBS school that's in need of a new developing QB, and not even FCS which I'm sure there's many opps, but D2.

An unfortunate situation when there's good potential talent there...

Yes, whatever you do, don't tell chip or DB you emailed me on here! It'll turn into make-believe stories that even I can't understand! :)

You're obviously going obtuse, playing it off with your dumb act and banking on the fact that details can't be discussed openly here.

I however, am banking on the hope that you someday run into WW42 with no witnesses. That'd be EPIC.

Why no witnesses? Don't be "obtuse". Tell us what you mean.

There's nothing wrong with the situation either. Hillsdale is a great college, renowned for not taking any federal money and standing on its conservative principles. Moreover, Hillsdale has a rich football tradition going back many years with a very pretty campus and academic rigor far exceeding most schools. The average Hillsdale ACT score is 29 compared to 23 at WMU.

Playing d1 athletics is not the be-all and end-all of one's life. I'm curious, where did you play college football?

Great points.

Written from the vantage point of experience of having competed and as a parent.

Way too much emphasis put on sports as an end.

I know Hillsdale is a private, conservative school. I wasn't talking about how good of a school it is. I would have said the same thing if he wasn't playing football and went to some great school to become a teacher. I was talking about the level of football program for someone starting as a hot QB commodity for FBS football, to settling in to D2. I could definitely understand if he wasn't some hot commodity and was just a local who saw he wasn't going to have much years starting at his 1st place and instead took the best college in his locale for the degree he wanted that'd give him a scholarship to play, sure. But to be fair, maybe once someone starts off at one place with little to no playing time, even when coming in as a hot commodity with great talent, going elsewhere on the same D-level has a little to no chance.

I'm curious, where did you do collegiate theater performances? Not a fitting question, obviously. If I was bashing his performance, your question would closer to fitting, but I was referencing how Good of a prospect he was (complementary).

PM him and ask him right out BC, he'll be happy to keep the PM's and forward them to Dewey, Cheatum, and Howe.
