What does the Book of Revelations say about what the ACC will look like in 2020...?

It doesn't. 07-coffee3
Texas, Ohio State & Alabama will also be members. The Coastal division will finally win the ACC, okay that last part isn't realistic.
The same because the TV contracts don't come up until 2022-2026 or so.

If you ask instead about 2030:

30% of Megaconference (this would start with a Big12-ACC merger)
30% of Notre Dame joining with a TBD partner
30% of total implosion due to no ACC network, no cohesion amongst most members, abysmal football performance, and a growing rift between basketball and non-basketball schools like the old Big East had. This probably ends in some combination of GT, Clemson, FSU, UVA, VT, UNC, NC State, and Duke being liquidated to some combination of the SEC, Big 12, and B1G.
10% of the ACC network being a cash cow and the ACC raids some combination of the SEC East, Penn State, Notre Dame, and WVU.
In 2030, David St. Becomes ACC Commissioner and promptly adds Buffalo, Stony Brook, Arkansas Tech and University of Phoenix... The other 14 schools leave in the middle of the night to join the AAC.

Get off my ^%$# lawn with those damn hover boards.
It would not shock me if you see Texas eventually join the ACC in an ND-type deal (Indy football, rest of sports in ACC, ACC partial fb schedule)

Texas WANTS to be a premier athletic dept in the country...the SEC, B1G, and PAC 12 are not compatible with the LHN. I think the only conference that does work (besides the Big XII) IS the ACC...

I don't know how real the rumblings at Oklahoma are, but they SHOULD be real...Oklahoma is one of the historical legends of college football. They are going to want big bucks, and be in a real conference like the B1G or SEC.

The Big XII is the least stable of all the conferences right now, with multiple interests mixed at the top. It would not surprise me to see some spill over from that mess into the ACC, so you really could end up with a conference like this:

Atlantic
FSU
Clemson
Syracuse
Louisville
NC State
Boston College
Wake Forest
TCU

Coastal

Duke
North Carolina
Pitt
Miami
Virginia
Virginia Tech
Georgia Tech
Baylor

Texas (partial schedule)
Notre Dame (partial schedule)

I think the eventual end point for the P5 conferences is 16 teams....you start getting larger than that, and you risk actually having a split and teams forming new conferences (ala the Mountain West out of the old WAC)

So wouldn't surprise me if the ACC is at 16 teams.

Also, Cincinnati is a decent expansion candidate....if Texas declined or showed no interest in an ACC, why not invite Cincinnati, and throw a rope out to Kansas or Houston?

Atlantic
FSU
Clemson
Syracuse
Louisville
NC State
Boston College
Wake Forest
Houston/Cincinnati

Coastal

Duke
North Carolina
Pitt
Miami
Virginia
Virginia Tech
Georgia Tech
Cincinnati/Kansas
Same as today except maybe no divisions.

+1. 2020 is not far enough into the future to make much of a difference. There may be an ACC cable network by then, and the schedule may be without divisions, but the teams will likely be the same.
It will look the same.

We will still be talking about the mythical ACC Network.

The gap in revenue between us and the SEC & B1G will be much larger.

The fans of all the mediocre football schools will still blame all the football flaws on Clemson and FSU.

Most of the people here will still say this picture is accurate:

ACC basketball with no Coach K, Roy Williams, Jim Beoheim or Rick Pitino becomes an absolute free for all.
