My first thought, as well.
That said, the policies/actions that Trump advocates are such that El Chapo would (obviously) be willing to kill Trump (and lots of other people, too) to prevent them from being put into place.

Better idea, IMHO: let the U.S. govt. issue letters of marque and reprisal against El Chapo and his ilk.
The United States has not done that (at least, not officially) since 1815, and signed a treaty in 1856 agreeing not to do it. I don't say this lightly; I admit there is some serious downside to the practice. But IMHO, the times they have a-changed, and America should give serious consideration to restoring the practice. I know that Ron Paul has mentioned this on occasion over the years.

Probably an invention of the Lib media. I doubt that el chapo would spend that much money on trumps head. If it does happen they'll pin the murder on chapo and how can anyone prove he really said it.
But, if he really said it how much more ammunition for the Reps to use as saying that the bad guys don't want someone in office who would really lay down the hammer against all the illegal crap.
