Look everyone, like BW said I think we just all need to relax and understand where our team is right now. We need to be realistic and understand that we do have an extremely young team. Lets look at the positives:

OFFENSE
- SB didn't have a great game but I watched every second of the Marshall game and he defiantly improved from last week. The WRs did not help him out at all and I counted probably 6 or 7 drops. Which may not have changed the outcome of the game but it could have changed a couple drives.

- The O-line looked better but still needs work

- Ray got out of his funk and looked pretty good.

- We scored some points!

DEFENSE
- Defense forced turnovers and punts

- Held their ground on extremely short fields

- Third string players like Pat Toal really impressed me. I hope he gets more playing time. This really adds more depth to the D-line.
Positives from Marshall game:

Running game looked a lot better.
We stretched the field at least once to Pascal (have to be more consistent)
Pat Toal
Felonte Misher (first half)
OUr DL continues to be a handful for the opposing team
The secondary is playing adequate (which is much better than I expected given the loses/youth)
We also moved up in the CUSA rankings

CUSA Rankings
We have a very talented group of recruits committed. Here is Juwan Ross' highlights from this season so far: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ro8t1U-...e=youtu.be
our play calling was much better against Marshall. DL looks great.
Although so far the Monarchs are winless while wearing them, the new helmets are bad***!

Every time I want to say that ODU is the worst non-Charlotte team in the league, I remember that there's some other stinkers in the bunch. This will not go down in history as CUSA's greatest season.
Our defense is roughing up some people...

We lost to them by 22 points less than last year.
Baby Bull is leading the conference in rushing and TDs
These freshmen on D are going to be special
Positive: the forums are active
ODU is tied with Auburn at #12 in the least penalized team category! Only 22 penalties through 5 games!

With such a young team that is positive.

An that includes a couple of bizarre penalties in the App game!
I wondered a couple times during the NCST and App St games why there were no Holding calls.
Would have expected that the OL would have gotten a little frustrated with not being able to rush and done anything to open up some wholes.
Not sure if that was a sign of maturity for a young group, lost opportunity or nothing at all.
