The Oregon Shooter is a 26-year-old black male.

On the left is the selfie Christopher Mercer uploaded to his social media. On the right is how CNN presented the same selfie in broadcast stories about him.  Why did CNN need to change the complexion (color) of their broadcast?  Why is no-one showing pictures of mom, Laurel Margaret Harper.

Why change to hyphenated name?  Real name is Christopher Sean Mercer.  Media using Christopher Harper-Mercer and Chris Harper-Mercer.

Yesterday, while reviewing the social footprint of Oregon shooter Chris Harper-Mercer, (aka Chris Sean Mercer) an almost identical world-view to Eric Sheppard Jr. was evident in Mercer’s social media history.

Chris Harper-Mercer, a mixed-race angry 26-year-old, was essentially the mirror image on social media as Eric Sheppard Jr.

Mercer held sympathetic words and thoughts for the Virginia shooter Vester Flanagan, and similarly raged against white people, and expressed sympathy toward the Black Lives Matter movement.  (Example Below):

However, today almost all of that social media history is GONE -> Example Here.  It is either removed entirely, and/or edited for content.  How it could be edited is a mystery unless there is some other issue at hand.

In addition, as several researchers have noted, anyone who held attachment to Mercer appears to be deleting the content of their association.  Including Umpqua Community College itself.

Didn't even know he's black. Or is that a white black.
Raised by a black women I believe. Black people not happy. You had the black TV guy in Virginia and now this guy.
Mass shooter is supposed to be a white people thing.

Mass shooter is supposed to be a white people thing.

It's not a race issue. We just happen to live in the most narcissistic country in the world. Lots of people believe their lives should be more than what they are. That perception gap is causing many to lash out.
I noticed that in the same day post His bio said He was mixed race and self identified as a Republican. All you ever see on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC is Republican and these washed out photos and only show His White father and absolutely No photos of His Black Mother. Maybe that's why Obama jumped on this very early on and gave media it's marching orders to again blame right wing types for these shootings to reign in handguns after killing mostly White Christians .apparently He didn't or media didn't want another Race related issue that won't help the Left agenda.

I agree it isn't a race issue, but why is the media covering this guy up?

Look at the two photos ER posted. It is not just the complexion, which is obvious. Look at the nose structure - some work has been done here as well. In the whitewashed photo, the nostrils are smaller and less flattened out and nose slightly pointier - obscuring features that are commonly associated with "black" nose structure. Subtle, but very disturbing.
Wow you guys have really lost it.
This is no more a race issue than it is a gun issue. Hiswmtal health is the problem, and the only way race figured into it is the way the media portrays him
Just wondering. How many people would he have killed without a gun?

Very perceptive.

But I agree, this isn't a race issue. Besides, who ever heard of a black killing anyone with a gun.

Agreed, just very disturbing how he is being portrayed. Cannot deviate from the Master Plan, I guess.

I have mentioned this on these boards previously, but is relevant in this thread. When I was active duty Navy, I held position that oversaw a detachment to Sarajevo during the Bosnian War. During a visit there, the issue of the day was a horrific photo of a burnt-out vehicle and several bodies on the road, I believe two of which were children. As nationalistic and ethnic flames were already burning brightly, the newspapers from each side reported the picture very differently. One (Serb-based) claimed Muslim militants butchered an Orthodox Serbian family, another (Muslim-based) claimed Christian thugs massacred a Muslim family, and another (Croat-leaning) claimed Serbian terrorists attacked an innocent Croatian family. THIS WAS ALL FOR THE SAME PHOTOGRAPH. What was actually the truth is something I will never know.

I learned from the experience that perception is reality, and when the media is actively slanting events to meet their agenda, you can drive populations to barbaric acts that they would otherwise never consider proper. This scares the hell out of me, happens frequently in this country, and is only getting worse. I have looked for the CNN footage of the whitewashed photo, and have yet to find it; but if true, indicates just how far the media will go to get the sheeple on board with the greater agenda. Heaven forbid you don't agree with "progress", as you will get publicly steamrolled or, maybe worse, quietly silenced on our collective path to dwindling liberty, economic morass, and perpetual class and racial strife.

So guns can't kill people but the media can? LMFAO
Never said that. People pull triggers, swing knifes, drive drunk, and go to their neighborhood fetal tissue collection factory known as Planned Parenthood. Mentally-ill people seem to be at particular risk with whatever tools are at their disposal. My point was about how media can be used to incite acts by a population that would otherwise consider such behavior taboo. But you already knew that, didn't you.

Oh, and either add something to this conversation or find another thread in which you can. I am not going to allow you to troll away here unchecked.
Someone with a gun (or knife or rock) can kill. Stop trolling.
This is simply a new method of suicide. If it were simply about killing people, he could have killed a lot more by blowing the whole building to smithereens with chemicals that can be purchased at Walmart and detonated it after he was long gone and even have a shot at getting away with it.

As you well know, there are many ways/methods that can be employed to kill people. Are you suggesting that the United States government confiscate every gun in the country? If so, how do you, propose to do this and do you believe that the criminals among us will also just voluntarily turn their illegal ones in?

I don't buy the notion that guns don't kill people but somehow the media can "incite" acts.

Again Fit, what is you solution?

Guns are an inanimate object/tool. They do nothing good or bad until used by a human.

To suggest the media doesn't inject their biases into the conversation is ignoring what is going on. Wait until they take a position you don't agree with and then try and distort the truth.

if you don't believe the media Can influence I don't think you should ever complain about Fox News again.
