This deal will give BCSN, owned by the Toledo Blade, the rights to sublicense other regional cable stations so they can televise MAC sporting events normally streamed live on ESPN3 to be added to live TV. This deal is in addition to the MAC/ESPN deal for games normally shown on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. I think this means that all UT football games and many other sports will now be shown on TV in addition to ESPN3 . Hopefully other regional cable channels and other MAC schools jump on board to the agreement as the article suggests will happen. This seems to dovetail nicely into the June announcement made by UT to have the college of communication & UT produce up to 35 events per year for ESPN3. Both links are below. It will be interesting to see if other MAC schools can get the latter part of this deal implemented, which will take some money but provides nice learning opportunities for their students. If their schools can produce the sports events then all the regional cable operators have to do is put them on their channel to be shown.

Of course their first game is BG. Those Block brothers love their falcons.
Road games only please

The only way I would consider this good would be if the games were premium pay-per-view locally with UT getting a cut.
Unfortunately, another excuse not to attend home Rocket events.
This is not good! Wonder what MOB has to say. Have not read articles. Totally agree w/ Football 1st and indianasniff. We have the best home game atmosphere in the MAC and now we will be giving it away to the BLADE????? I fear the end of our chance at decent home attendance if home games are involved.01-lauramac203-banghead
I think the Big Ten Network does the student production with non revs. Most of their baseball games are student produced. The Michigan Toledo baseball game a couple years ago was on Big Ten and produced by Michigan's communications department And announced by students. I think utilizing the productions for baseball, soccer or volleyball would be good for school. Unfortunately, I don't know what the coverage range for BCSN is, I just know we live an hour from Toledo and don't get it. Is it carried by all Buckeye cable or just in the Toledo metro area?

BCSN = Buckeye Cable Sports Network......

It's carried on Buckeye cable in Bedford, Michigan.

If, you are a true rocket fan, you will still come too the glass bowl, and not sit on your ass at home.
After reading the article, it sounds like it might be more for BG and the conference as a whole. Does not sound like every game
