The last 6 CMU coaches have all won their first game against their rival

the old sayings that "it is just one game" and "1 game doesn't make a season" no longer apply to this season.

the cmu game is a must win. I will likely fall off the Fleck bandwagon if we lose. I can forgive the GASO loss, if we play out the remainder of the schedule tough, with wins (not saying we win out).

I want to believe we have not witnessed what WMU 2015 football is all about yet. However, we have witnessed other MAC teams (teams we still have to play) playing "elite."

I, like most here, I imagine, hope for 7 wins.
^ Yep, completely agree.
We should be better than last year.

We should be better for having played OSU and MSU.

Thus having a worse record than '14 is, to use Fleck's term, "unacceptable."

We should be able to win at either NIU or Toledo. We beat everyone else last year and again we should be improved.

Not only that but we should have learned something and improved from the one point loss to Toledo and letting the NIU game get away from us last year. Despite having both of those games on the road this year yes we should win at least one of those because we should be better baring serious injuries.
We'd need to go 7-1 in the MAC to equalize last year's record.

An Ohio fan on the MAC board posted the point differential in each MAC vs P5 game, which I found interesting. "Only" 4 wins, but 9 losses within two scores. I know we don't want to celebrate moral victories, but we've had a lot more close calls this season than in previous years.

Now we are the place of "New Traditions!" That CMU fact you mentioned needs to end this season.
IMO, we have a much better shot at beating NIU on the road than we do of beating Toledo at their house. We aren't beating Toledo this year.
