A 6 5 2016 guard just commited from Linn-Mar HS in Iowa. Hutcheson's alma mater. Looks like Western was his only D1 offer, and I couldn't find a recent video.

I enjoyed that. He's listed at 6'5" and might handle the ball well enough to play the 2. That would be pretty nice. Lots of range, too, and he looked pretty explosive. Low jumper, though.

... but quick release.
Looks like Zion Morgan no more.

02-13-banana lOOKS LIKE A TRUE SHOOTER. Hope he is in same
class as "Hutch' when he's done. 6'5" AND A PURE SHOOTER WOULD BE A GREAT OUTSIDE THREAT. Now let's hope he can also defend. I look forward to seeing him along with all the other good young Broncs we will have.
I think someone posted a while back that Hawk was looking for a long range shooter. The kid out of NW Indy who committed to IU was high on the list. Apparently Hawk still felt the need, felt it a fit and filled it.

Back to a question I raised a month or so ago asking if Hawk would use all 4 scholarships this fall or hold back if he didn't see a stone cold talent. Class of '16 in the Midwest is weak. '17 is reported to be much deeper so wondering with only 2 for next year if Hawk will save one for next year?
This is just my opinion but I believe that coach Hawkins is living in the world where he knows we will lose perhaps 1 or 2 players a year due to "playing time". That is the modern college athlete's thinking these days, so in that case why would he hold back a scholarship for a year for the next year.

If you look at our recent history that has been the case. I've heard him talk about that in college basketball there is around 25 to 30 percent of players that will move on from a team. These are the facts that he is dealing with, so in that case why would you hold back. The playing time will determines who will stay and who will not.

I'm sure that there are other arguments to be made for going with a smaller roster too, just look at our volleyball team. I don't think that Coach Munson believes in filling all of the spots and she has had good success with her program. Perhaps someone closer to the program could answer that question.

Always proud to be a Bronco, RTB.
I like the video. Monotonous how every shot goes in, eh? But has some moves as well. Moves well without the ball.

I like when shots that hit the rim and bounce they still go in. Some kind of rotation thing, good mechanics.

Looks like a high school body when they build him up I hope he can still shoot.

Good point.

I hope Hawk is sticking to his guns or words in regards to recruiting better athletes/players always upping the talent quotient. Nothing wrong with knowing a kid needs a couple years to physically mature as with Shayne the pay off is impactful. But a body to fill a spot isn't the course to take.
