Baylor's RB Coach was on the Tulsa sidelines Saturday (Baylor had an off week).
Briles issues his standard "I had no knowledge of (Fill in the Blank)".

Baylor has running backs? I thought they just threw the ball deep to speedy receivers.

4th in rushing yards per game.
Actually he's the passing game coordinator (and Briles' son-in-law - I guess you can't be on that staff unless you're related to the head coach??). It's a rule violation since Baylor does play Oklahoma later this year, but to be honest, it's kind of a silly rule since you can't see much on the sidelines anyway compared to the game film that all the coaches receive.

But since Baylor is already in hot water and suspended two coaches for the Lamar game, it does reinforce the opinion to the NCAA that Baylor has no idea of the rules in place for their football staff. I wouldn't be surprised if he is suspended for our game.
Lebby was actually a scholarship football player at OU. Just visiting his buds on the Tulsa sideline, which you can't do.

I would have thought he would have more friends on the OU sideline. The big problem is the guy is a coach not just a former player.
I heard Briles talking about playing Rass this weekend......sounded about like the other former uh redneck/country boy (take your pick) Bill Yeomans. They both make my skin crawl!!

Think the Tulsa coach was a long time baylor assistant (he's the one who got Lebby a field pass)? At least that's what I read in one of the articles. Also find it strange if Lebby is married to Briles daughter that Art didn't know they were there....

The rule is pretty dumb these days with all the game film but Baylor needs a compliance officer (or a new one) since they seem to keep doing very stupid things that are clearly against the rules.
Doesn't sound like Art was too pleased with his son-in-law.
From the Waco Trib
“Had I been aware, that situation would have never happened,” Briles said. “When I found out, we alerted the proper officials and I actually called Coach Stoops and told him I was sorry that we had a guy on their sidelines. It’s embarrassing to me, quite honestly.”
He probably thought it was OK to go lounge around and see Coach Montgomery on those sidelines for a few minutes, but it’s not,” Art Briles said. “Like I said, in my opinion it’s unethical.”

Briles doesn’t believe Lebby’s presence at the Tulsa-Oklahoma game gave Baylor a scouting advantage.

“There’s not an advantage, first and foremost, in today’s world,” Briles said. “We get every film they’ve got, and they get every film we’ve got. So as far as a scouting advantage, you’re at a disadvantage standing there on the sidelines. I don’t think he was there very long, maybe a quarter, I’m not sure. It’s unfortunate. I hate it for the perception standpoint"

I bet their conversation was interesting.
