I could not be prouder of the way the boys played on Saturday and with OSU scoring only 20 points, I did a little digging. The last time someone held OSU to 20 or less points was back on 9/29/12. That's pretty amazing.

When was the last time their offense was held to 13 points?

According to all the "experts" it wasn't that NIU held them to 20 points, it was that Ohio State just didn't play well.
They played lousy. The three picks were horrible throws and one of the fumbles was a bad exchange. They gift-wrapped the game for us. Our defense played lights out but OSU played a lousy game. Their defense obviously dominated also. Great play on both interceptions. I thought we needed more cutting edge patterns to get our receivers open in quick passes and we made things pretty easy for their secondary.

I know its tempting to not give NIU credit, I just cant go there though, hell of a game by NIU

way to go snap, I was yelling for you when the snaps were going bad during the game. Snap96 could snap the ball faster than most could throw....

I felt bad for the guy and he probably lost his job too. If Sabock was still on the sidelines, I can only imagine how many times he would have been yelling Judas Priest.
1st OSU team under Meyer under 300yrds total offense.

1st time in 29 games no rushing TD.

I'm foaming at the mouth!
Nobody can take away the fact that NIU played an incredible FB game, and took the best #1 FB team to the wire at the Horse Shoe!
TOSU offense played poorly, but the NIU Defense had nothing to do with that. 01-wingedeagle

If you only watched ESPN highlights on SC and CBS Sports game summary, you would hardly think it mattered who they played. All they did was focus on 2 QB situation, poor offense, great defense and Meyer's post game.

Now I know some others gave props, but it's pretty pathetic national coverage in a sports news program if you ask me. Like no one cared who they played. And we wonder why it's hard to get exposure.

I would imagine had NIU won it would have been top bill and included more about NIU rather than about the 5th game covered and the aforesaid on SC.
