more ammo to those that thought the BGSU series is no win.
I rest my case.
Auburn and Missouri in the top 25?

Stanford into the top 25?
Wow :(
This is how these things shake out. Right now...due to the name on their jerseys...some teams are seen as being better than we are. Traditionally, teams like Florida, UT, Miami Fla, etc etc have been in the top 25 regularly. So when they are ranked and fall out...we will get lesser #'s of votes. It happens.
Some voters may not have seen our game with Bowling Green. Some may not have seen Bowling Green play this season at all.
If we keep winning, that will take care of itself. We have a chance to make those votes back up by winning over Cinci assuming we win.
Smells like motivation and a good chance to keep everyone's feet on the ground as much as possible while letting them continue swagging out.

Also, this is why I hate college sports so much. If I didn't love the Tigers...
I love it when people say "the polls don't matter this early in the season." Sure they don't matter.... if your name is Florida or Virginia Tech or UCLA. But when you're from the unwashed masses of the "G5", you MUST get in early to have any chance of ending up in the top 10. Is Temple getting any votes? We need Ole Miss, Navy, Houston, and Temple to all be ranked by the time we play them.
How did BYU fall from #22 to out after a one point lost on the road to the #12 team?

Because BYU isn't a P5 team. The corrupt process continues.

The coaches are skerd of Memphis and don't want to play the Tigers in the playoffs
Memphis got one vote in this week's AP Poll

Keep grinding and putting up W's. Screw the establishment.
It took us all last season to get noticed. It did not happen easy for TCU or Utah either. They had to claw and scratch for everything that they got. Many sports writers looked at us and saw the following tidbits:
a) lost defensive coordinator to Missouri
b) lost 8 defensive starters and 1 offensive starter to graduation

In many cases, such a team wouldn't be very good the following year. Thus far we have defied expectations. We play Kansas during Fuente's first two years, and they would have spanked us if we had turned the ball over 3 times.
If we keep Coach Fuente here...and we keep winning, the rest will take care of itself. Believe in the process.
Auburn is ranked at 2-1

Got destroyed by LSU and beat a FCS team in OT and an 0-3 Lousiville team barely.

And who would you have played that would have moved us up? The road BG game will help our rep and it certainly will help our prep for games to come.

We played it. We won it. Our biggest problem was being relegated to Internet streaming rather than real tv. Great game seen by nobody. TV is the biggest failure of the AAC.
