Josh Magee, Gerald Everett, and DJ Vinson combine for 12 catches for 231 yards and 2 TDs for South today.

Cody Clements went 18/25 for 270 yards and 2 TDs.
Jordan Howard ran for 201. Should still be leading the Big Ten.
Everything about this season pisses me off. Our team would have been ridiculous. I think coach will build a great team for 2017 though.

Given the state of the program prior to Clark's first season, it might as well have been starting from scratch. I'll be impressed if he goes 6-6 in 2017, but it won't take the full five years of his contract to go to a bowl game.
We were robbed of watching the best team in UAB history. I really think we would have challenged for a conference title and definitely gone to a bowl game.

That plus the added factor instate of having AU and Bama suffering a potential slump season when UAB appeared to be on the rise chokes of missed opportunities for recognition. Is it possible that this fear drove the BOT actions toward UAB football?

No. The Sard-Verbinnen documents show the decision was made before the season began. At that point, no one knew Bill Clark would get such results from the wreckage of a two-win team with no established quarterback and its best player having left early for the NFL.
I see what you guys were talking about now; about Everett. That guy's going pro.

He would have been truly great for us last year, but we had Kennard Backman, who is with the Packers now. Everett is as good as Backman.

The BOT's decision to hobble and to ultimately destroy UAB football was made before the 2002 "Black Friday" Joe Fine Committee report. The BOT just had to wait for the right time and the "right UAB President" to carry it out. The surprisingly successful season in 2014 left them with egg on their faces and public realization of their shallow aims. Can anyone confidently say that if UAB had gone 2-10 in 2014 we would have been so successful at resurrection of the program?

FBHC Clark set UAB up for renewal by going 6-6 with a team that had a 5-19 two season record before he took over. Clark's 6-6 record was similar in effect on supporter's BELIEF to George Washington's victories at Trenton and Princeton in maintaining BELIEF. Neither "won the war" but both provided the strength for subsequent victory.

Probably? Think 9 or more wins and a legitimate top 20 offense.
