I cannot believe NIU is not ranked in the AP or Coaches Top 25 Poll. Without a doubt the NIU Huskies are one of the Top 25 teams in the country this season and they proved that today AT OHIO STATE!!!!!!

Doubt they will be ranked but they will get votes!!! If they can beat Boston College then yes they will be top 25

NIU looked better than a #23 northwestern team that kept it close with Duke.
I wonder if NIU gets an AP or Coaches vote, probably extremely rare for a non P5 team to lose and get a vote when receiving none the week before

If you watch the game northwestern is garbage and so is duke! I'd love to see either of those teams play Ohio state.
Top 25 worthy today for sure, but not Top 25 worthy the first two games. I can't see us climbing to the Top 25 until November if we win all of our games.
Doubt if we crack the top 25 yet but we do deserve some votes.

If they win next week, I have a feeling they will be there or be close.
Sadly, a 1 loss NIU team won't be ranked no matter how well they played vs OSU when it's only been 3 weeks. If we win our next 3 I would assume we are ranked.
I don't care about rankings a bit until towards the end of the year.....but a lot of folks are going to have to pay attention to the Huskies now. Hopefully it's time to put a run together.

No love from the AP poll, Toledo at #30
As NIU and Ohio State win games, NIU will go up in the rankings.
Might take many weeks for NIU to hit the top 25.
We need to ignore rankings and focus on the next game, as well as keeping the FB coach.
Can the defense play as well against BSU?
BC's defense cannot be as good as OSU's.
(they did hold FSU to 14-0, but Golson is no Heisman candidate.)
