The d played out their ass. Offense ok.
That Ohio State defensive line is crazy good. Won them the game. What a battle. Unbelievable effort by the defense.
I really think its the OSU linebackers that just set them apart, just phenomenal LBs

Even their DB's were great in single coverage. They're so damn good all over.

I don't understand why they had Hare roll out so much

Because they couldn't create a pocket for him.
They were getting a lot of pressure up the middle but Hare still needs to set his feet.

But they were designed roll outs, he would have had some time for shorter intermediate routes

I don't see it. You can only throw so many slants before they get picked off like the screens. NIU was a magician with nothing in the hat offensively.

Easier said than done! I thought he hung in there about as well as one could. I didn't see him turtling.
If anyone else already posted this I apologize, but we will look back at this game and say this was Shawun Lurry's coming out party. He was the best player on the field for both teams today.

That dude didn't blow a single opportunity. Was everywhere. #19 must be lucky!

Too bad for Lurry that the nation thinks he is Kenny G right now hahah, that was funny
I have never felt so good about a loss. I have zero complaints. The team played its tush off and came within 1 TD of the number 1 team in the country - in their stadium. Can you imagine if this game were in Huskie Stadium?

Agreed. It kind of seems weird feeling good after a loss, but no one (not even on this board) thought NIU could play a 7 point game against Ohio St. in Columbus.

Yeah, it's even better than I felt after the Orange Bowl, in terms of "losses you can live with." I always love when you get a crack at the best. Better to be a bug on their windshield than wonder.
What if Hare doesnt throw that pick six
HUGE HUGE HUGE props to you pro-NIU wild animals that went to the Horseshoe today. Heard you loud and clear several times.

You were the Cindy Loo to this grinch's heart.
Thought the d played great. Their d was also lights out

More like what if Maxwell doesn't mess up and give the defender a free run at the pass.

Neither of the INTs were really Hare's fault. He got hit on the first one and the second was more on a miss by the TE than him.
