"For Cinci"

Key words.

Ordinarily I'd say I'd rather play opponents at full strength, but a Thursday night game against Cincinnati after a barnburner like we had today (couldn't watch, will re-watch later) makes me a little nervous.

Obviously for the sake of health, I hope Kiel is OK. Concussion is no joke. But if it just so happened that he couldn't go Thursday (ideally on some sort of rule/technicality), I hope it's not classless to say I'd breathe a small sigh of relief.

You said it but I bet a lot of us were thinking it 04-cheers
Yo, bearcat, what's the skinny?
Will Gunner Kiel play?

The junior quarterback left the Miami game with a head injury, banging his head on the turf during a roughing-the-passer call. Now comes the short week with Memphis.

“I’m not going to count him out, but with a five-day turnaround it’s going to be awfully hard,” UC coach Tommy Tuberville said.

CINCINNATI.COM yesterday afternoon
If it was anything but the mildest concussion, his playing Thursday is out of the question. Fifteen years ago, maybe. Not now.

Tubs is just trying to give us some misdirection.
I hope the lad is completely recovered by Friday. Anybody think Tubberville would show us mercy if it was Paxton who had the concussion? As I recall, he always ran the score up on us when he was at Ole Miss.

Speaking of Cincinnati, I have daydreamed a bit about us having an electrifying blockbuster, down-to-wire game with them this week followed by another big game of the same type for the AAC conference championship. Perhaps that would convince some Big 12 leaders that Memphis and Cincinnati ARE the best choices and worth adding quickly. I hope a good Bearcat crowd comes down as Louisville has done before for weeknight games

Screw that...I would much rather Drag the floor with them both games and show we are head and shoulders the best team. Let someone else be the second choice for once.
I vote for a skull drag too.

while i would love to see that, those predicting a 41-14 blow out are very unrealistic, there is no way we could ever beat UC like that.
Kiel will play. If he is able, we shouldn't want it any other way. After all, we need to know how strong our team is against opponents at full strength.
Kiel is so far listed as possible.

Tuberville did say Hayden Moore would start the week practicing 1st string and most anticipate he will get the start.
