What was great, what needs improvement?

I'll start. The speakers above 214 were way too loud before the game. You really shouldnt have to scream at the person beside you to have a conversation.
Before kickoff the speaker totally blew. I was glad. I'd rather not hear anything than to hear everything that loud..... the fact that the speaker blew might just mean it was playing to loud to begin with.
the weather... that needs improvement
Was it just last week we were complaining to the marketing guy that you couldn't hear the speaker? You can please some people sometimes...

No, those are the people who sit under the coaches booth. I've never had a problem hearing anythingat the other locations.
The speaker blew out in section 116/115 at the start of the game. Couldnt hear Jack Ankerson
Is that a complaint, or praise item?
We need to change the umbrella policy. When the rain started, two inconsiderate "fans" opened up huge golf umbrellas that totally blocked our view! Seriously, we couldn't even see the field. We asked repeatedly for them to lower the things so we could see. Their response was basically fu.

They don't need to change the unbrella policy. All they need to do is enforce it. This is from the Fan Guide:

"Umbrellas are discouraged inside the stadium. However, as a guest service, personal sized umbrellas shall be allowed. Umbrellas shall not be opened or raised in the seating areas to preserve an unimpaired view by others, and should be stored under seats at all times."
I was in section 107 and the speakers were noticeably louder than years past. I LOVED IT!!
Can someone answer a question for those of us not able to make this game. I saw in the game thread that the howitzer was not fired for the run out of the tunnel but I thought someone mentioned it firing for scores. Any clarification about the boom?

I had two golf size nsu umbrellas in front of me. I had no problem with them being used when they stayed seated but they wanted to stand. We couldnt see

There was no tunnel entrance last night due to the first delay. They fired the howitzer once after they talked about it and thanked the National Guard over the PA.
Im getting a nice poncho in case it rains.
I bought an ODU team rain jacket at the surplus sale. Best $25 I have spent in a while!
We put on our ponchos and you folks are right the umbrellas have to go. Should be easy to see them in the stands and enforce the rules. Also, I totally missed the cannon firing and assumed it was due to the rainy conditions. When the heck did the fire it?
Umbrellas should be caught at the gate. Last nightts cattle call probably resulted in ticket takers being a little lacks.

On another note, how many noticed the kick off music was "welcome to the jungle"?. Way to go Mr. Chandler!! loved it.
Are we now The Jungle??

I did love the "Welcome to the Jungle" and wondered if our message board suggestions to Doc Chandler had anything to do with it? There is no missing that, it is the right fit for a Pride of Monarchs represented by a Lion.

It should be played every game. It is a tradition that the crowd will embrace and the excitement and energy from the crowd will grow stronger in the future as this tradition becomes a Monarch thing.
