Folks-

You many of you are aware, Machiavelli's daughter recently lost a long battle. Her fight was an inspiration to many of us, and the moderators felt it appropriate to honor her life in whatever way was agreeable to Mach and his family.

We have renamed the Spin Room as a result, and will announce an additional tribute when the time is appropriate. Hopefully, this name change will serve to highlight Kyra's life, her valiant fight, and her family who rallied around this precious little girl. Additionally, if this name change can result in all of us occasionally putting aside political differences to focus on the things that really matter in this world, I am sure Kyra would be pleased.

Please be kind to one another and keep Kyra and Mach's family in your thoughts as they work through their loss.
God Bless Kyra !
Great idea whoever came up with it.

I think it is a wonderful idea and tribute.

I hope Mach and his family are hanging in there in this trying time.
I was just reading a couple of beautiful heartfelt tributes on Facebook. You have a wonderful family and surrounded by great friends, Mach.

That was my first thought at as well.
Good call. Bravo.

Brings a tear a to my eye still
Great idea, and I commend you for it.

Except, damn, now we are going to have to be nice to each other in here.
She has this amazing ability to bring connections. A guy who I consider a frenemy hugged me tight today and told me he loved me. What's scary is I really believe he meant it. If she can bridge the animosity we sometimes have for each other she truly is a miracle worker. The truest test is if we can all just be tolerant and try to respect the other side on here. If that happens pit her up there with Mother Teresea.

All kidding aside She's brought a community tighter. We laid her to rest today and I've never been as proud. It was an honor to be her father and to see the genuine effect she had on people.

God Bless
Perhaps children that leave too soon are angels sent down from heaven so that we might remember to be civil to eachother.
Class move. I didn't notice this thread before I started a new one. I assumed GTS changed the name. Either way this was a great move to honor Kyra. And yes, we should all try to be a little nicer to each other.

I don't really want to toss grenades at you guys anymore under the new name. Doesn't feel right.
Nice touch mods. Thanks.
Well done

Words can't explain my sadness for your loss, nor the strength of your ability to carry on with a bright attitude after such a devastating blow that carries lifelong effects. God bless you and your family, brother. May the memories forever keep you strong and happy.

I think everyone who frequents this board has been touched in some way by Kyra. She has definitely brought about connections and made a community tighter.

God bless you and your family. Don't be sad that she is gone, be happy that she was here, and cherish the memories.
