Am I just looking through golden glasses, or is that cool?

Indeed. Would've been prettier had it not been half maroon.
Yes it is and I look forward to the day most of those fans are wearing gold and black. I know it's hard seeing shade of dark colors but...
They were, at least 75% gold and black.....Shifty was born a negative person, so you have to consider the source. Look at the panoramic view in a thread by Eager Eagle and you will see,

You weren't there, were you? Not even close to 50% state. Our AD did a great job with the ticket availability.
beautiful shot! big time!

yeah, I was going to say, I didn't see much maroon in the super high resolution panoramic picture.
Off topic, but can the stadium be expanded much further? It looks like an upper deck on the endzone facility thing would be cool. Love the look... hope MT can pull it off too on Oct 3...
Makes us realize how far we have to go. Great crowd -- great pic.
Aerial pics always show just how close and "on top of the field" the stadium really is.

If we would have the ability to build the endzone to be the same size as the rest of the stadium height wise, it would be one of the loudest stadiums in the nation. Such an intimate setting. Those upper deck steps almost go straight up.
It's beautiful no matter how biased you are.
Great university and fantastic fans. Go USM!
Yes, it is a great sight. That said, I will be happy when it looks like that when we are playing a CUSA opponent. Now that will be something to be proud of.

The end zone facility wont support a deck. There was talk before fedora left of possibly rounding the north end and getting it in the low 40's.
Looks awesome. I watched the game Saturday. Southern Miss looks like they could be dangerous this season. I look forward seeing you guys come to Charlotte!
A second tier on a stadium does wonders. You would never think that Joan C. Edwards stadium holds more than the Rock. It looked great on television. Beautiful stadium to win some games in this season.

Same with the Joan. People keep bringing up adding a party deck or something to the Shewey Athletic Building but it just won't support it. It was never made for it. That's one thing I love about college football. Almost every single stadium is unique.
You may be biased, but that is a pretty sight.

Honored to be in a position to play your program on a regular basis.

JCE's bowled in section holds more than the Rock's endzone addition. That was the conclusion I came to when I saw your attendance numbers from this past weekend.

Looking forward to a return trip to JCE on 10/9; really enjoyed my visit there in 2011 (well, other than the final score03-hissyfit).
That is impressive. You guys did a first class job on the remodel in the end zone. Very nice! Kudos!
