Helol, even Calkins--still neck deep in his vendetta against Pastner--limp-wristedly corrected his "the looming debacle that is recruiting"....based on visits from Top 100 recruits with Memphis in one's "Top 3" etc

And that was before Davis committed.

The "Nattering Nine" have to keep changing their story:

First, it was Pastner won't get any recruits; that's obviously "non-operable" as Nixon's press guy said

Second: the predictable then is "well he won't win any"; but he's tied for 2nd in winning more games in first 6 years in the history of the NCAA; go ahead, Nine, bet your upper seats on that one

Third, it will be that Pastner won't make the tournament; well, he's only done that 4 of the 5 years for which he's accountable

And of course fourth: He won't make a run in the tourney; we'll see but it looks good with 2 senior guards, Shaq, the Lawsons, Burrell and Crawford

Fifth: Pastner will be here even if the Nine are not

Pastner is worth keeping, let the Nine depart
Wonder if he'll stick at the end of the season with the inevitable departure of coach?

I keep seeing this comment but no one making them:
1. Can provide a source
2. No one saying it knows Pastner personally, so has no idea of what he is thinking.
3. If Josh leaves it will be because he quits because the buy out is rediculous
4. No one in the administration is having a problem with Josh...so if he is going to be fired.....who is the mysterious double secret person behind it?

The absurdity of these continuous posts is getting to be the most laughable thing about this web site.

1. Season ticket sales are way down

2. This means that TSF donations are down ( despite what bigblob claims)

3. This means that money is tight period ( hence the fact that we were the ONLY team in the AAC not to bring a band or cheer squad to the tournament)

4. Players are transferring at an alarming rate. And not just the bench players who want more pt see Nichols

5. Local recruiting has fallen off because of point 5. We've lost out on nearly every local recruit since 2013 with the exception of the Lawson's and had to be talked into hiring their dad just to save the class

6. Stoudamire didn't come back for nothing. Something was promised to him.

Wake up

Wake up

You are absolutely right...

The lead assistant position was promised to him...The one he currently has.

Who are these nine u keep talking about? Anyways we landed one good juco and you act like we just landed the number one player in the country. Its not a program changing pick up. We could be really long with this kid, Markel, KJ, Dedric and Nick Marshall that's an NBA type size with that group.

Pastner or bigboy? Or both?
Both.

It's possible it's the same person. I'm not sure who else would be so positive about this mess of a program. I would be cool with Fuente taking over if nothing else his leadership alone would help a lot not to mention his ability to get the most out of players. Fuente was a home run hire. Pastner was foul out bunt. Football I guess is the critical thing right now in order to get into a power five conference so for now the basketball will have to be set aside for the greater good unfortunately. We can't afford his buyout so we are stuck with him for awhile. Atleast we have the Grizz if you want to watch some good basketball.
So...he didn't even start for his JUCO team, is a SHOOTING guard and knocked down 28% of his threes.
Appears to have a scorers mentality. shot only 28% on 3's (not good) but averages 10.9 points in 16 minutes per game (that is good imo). room for improvement, but I can take that upside since he appears to have a good skillset. how he develops going forward remains to be seen, but he does have the tools.

Southern Idaho is annually one of the top CCs in the country. Yes he was the 6th man but he played on a team where most people only got 16-22 minutes per game. One guy averaged 30 minutes per game. He was the second leading scorer, made second most FG, made second most 3s, 5th in reb and 4th in steals.

Coaches rave about his energy, athleticism, hops and handles. He had a really rough childhood but is a quite kid and did his work. No he is not elite but he is a guy that will fit the new BB structure with shorter clock. He is a good first sign addition to the next class.
