Last year weather was a big factor. This year EMU is a much better team and was played on their turf

These comparisons arent really good. Bentley faced a much higher level of competition. Also comparing The EMU game doesnt do it justice bc of the weather (and insane number of dropped passes)
Why bother comparing? With Bentley you guys scored 38 points on the road against many 3rd, 4th and 5th year players. Let's face it, he will only get better as he gets more comfortable.
I loved the play of Heinicke and his records speak for themselves. SB according to those on the inside is his heir apparent and as far as I know he will be another great QB. Unlike some, I think he did pretty well in his 1st game, away from home, on TV, against a team that wanted a win to make a statement on where their program is going. I have a hunch he will look a lot better this Saturday for obvious reasons and then we will see what happens with NC State. I am hopeful and time will tell the tale. That said I also want to give a shout out to DeMarco. He was/is a real competitor who willed us to many victories while carrying our team on his back. The winning attitude he set up for ODU cannot be under emphasized, just ask EMU? I will never forget when he carried us to victory at NCCU in a game where by the end he had dislocated both shoulders. All that Heinicke and Bentley have and will do for ODU was/is built on the rock of our foundation DeMarco.

It would be even better if the receivers could catch.
