How exciting is today going to be at the game? I am almost ready to pack up the car right now and head down. I think back to the late 80's when no one went to the games and it was so quiet if you did. Back then you didn't even know the player names I love basketball but you can't beat a fall Saturday tailgating. Go Cats!!!

I'm with you on that. Add to that when we had to play down at Riverfront when the westside stands were condemned at Nippert.

This program has come a loooooooong way. Can't wait until the gates open tonight! COGS 04-cheers
My first game:Austin Peay.

Nobody there...maybe 16k.

Lance Harp, Albert Sweet, David Small, Sam Garnes, Nate Dingle. Few names that come to mind. Eddie Gran was WR coach lol.

Now look at us....40k expected, Gunner Kiel, Moore, Mouhon, and the boys. Coach Tubs on the sideline.

wow...awesome
Are the fans supposed to wear black tonight... I thought, I heard that somewhere... Not sure....
I don't remember which game was my first. I was young and David Small had a lot of carries.

However, my dad started getting season tickets when I was 10 or 11. Been going to nearly every game since then (about 20 years).

+1. 10 years ago I had one guy that I could talk into heading down to Clifton to drink a couple beers out of the car trunk before going into the game. This week I've been on email chains with 20 people on it trying to coordinate our food and drink menu. We've got several families and 8-9 kids running around in the middle of it. None of them care that we're playing Alabama A&M instead of Alabama. They're just excited about it being football season again.
Leaving the house for the two hour drive to Cincinnati now. Inflatable 8 foot Bearcat up in the yard for all to see.
I think I was around four when I went to my first game at Nippert. It was just my dad and me. He still likes to talk about that game because it was so cold we had to leave early. I don't remember much, except that it was cold, there was a scoreboard in the southeast corner, and the seats we were in were pretty close to the ones we are in today.

Yep. Black it is

Been looking forward to this day since December 2013. Kinda surreal it now here. Special day for the university. The old girl is ready to shine. Packing up the stuff ready to roll soon. Go Bearcats!

Can't wait although my ticket buddy is sick, and won't make it. Our trio is now just me. One passed away, and he is sick. So tonight my 7 year old daughter is taking his place. This will be her first game, and it seems just like yesterday that my Grandpa was taking me to mine against BGSU in 1994. He would have been very impressed by Nippert's overhaul.
Took my Dad and son to a couple of games during the Minter era, one was vs UL. The Lair wasn't even built yet, just a muddy hill. Dad is an alum and I attended but finished elsewhere. Took Dad to a Marshall game after the Kelly hire and it was dumbfounding for him. It is a beautiful thing and we should all be proud and thankful, no matter what happens moving fwd. GO CATS!
My 18 and 14 year olds only recall UC football from the Brent Celek era on....God bless them.

And that's the way it SHOULD be - here's to a time when we have 40,000+++ all thinking like that. 02-13-banana
I know the feeling. My ticket mate and brother in law passed last November. I am now taking different people each game. Go Cats.

Black, but today isn't a blackout so I am just going to wear red and black like I always do.
