Where will JMU end up? Don't guess I'll ever get over what Stanton and Mullins did to ETSU athletics while schools like JMU, App State, et al soared.

The Sun Belt invited JMU the year after (pretty sure it was the year after) App and GaSo joined. JMU turned it down and said they were waiting on a CUSA invite so the Sun Belt started looking at Coastal and EKU.
JMU has their sights set on bigger things than yearly trips to butt crack Alabama for a worthless bowl game.

That NDSU vs SDSU FCS game today makes many of those FBS bowls look pathetic. Even the YSU, Wofford game had a larger crowd than numerous FBS bowl games. A number of those 40 FBS bowl games equals joke.

Yeah man I'm pretty down on FBS football too. It's just beating a dead horse at this point but the bowl system is sad.

Only 2 bowl games in 7 years has drawn less than a IAA playoff game. One of those games was the 2009 Humanitarian Bowl which featured Bowling Green vs the newest member of the Big Sky Idaho.

Ticket sales or bodies in seats? Don't schools have to buy up their own tickets just to get to go to one of these obscure bowls? There were far more people inside the Fargodome Saturday than are actually in attendance at a number of these joke bowls. The camera crews at those things have to use every trick in the book to hide the empty seats.

I can say with relative certainty there were more people at the Fargo Dome Saturday than there's ever been at The Bahamas Bowl.

South Alabama's situation wasn't of their doing. They were supposed to play an LSU team they would've beaten had it not been for Florida not being willing to play a football game on a rainy day.
