New AD Doug Gillin having an impact. He's a marketing guy and branding is his niche. Nice upgrades to Kidd Brewer and similar improvements to other venues. I like it!

Once again the new AD comes in and makes simple yet impressive changes.

New blood brings new ideas, excited about him putting his stamp on other areas as well.
Always liked KBS. IMO most G5 fan-bases should be envious of APP State's attendance over the years. Not many FCS(IAA) teams can draw more fans that FBS teams side from the obvious (NDSU, MT, GS when fcs, ODU when fcs, JMU).

Congrats, gotta love that new blood.
funny what new blood with a new perspective can do, would have never thought of doing this, such a simple and cost effective idea, that's going to make the stadium look that much better.
Good to see he stuck with the traditional Block A. Hope it is a sign of more to come. I'm a big fan of a consistent look. IMO, all branding, coachng apparel, travel gear and uniforms should have the same look. When a team gets off the bus everyone should know where you're from.
Good thing we didn't put up our Southern Conference Championships, we would have run out of room...

Lose the track. But otherwise it's my second favorite stadium in the Belt
App really has got to quit copying us. We already did this to ours last season, and continued this off season.

I mean, I understand that imitation is the sincerest form of flatter...but still.
losing the track is number 1 on our hit list, its outdated, and honestly, and eyesore, but its easier said than done, got to find the money and the land. If we ever finally succeed in getting rid of it, than things will fall into place, we can start to expand, and make it one hell of a stadium that we can be proud of, but it all starts with that dam track!!

Talk to the town/county. They are way too proud of the old Watauga High School site or it would already be ours for a very nice athletics facility expansion. That's the play, but the two sides need to work it out.

Last year, on another board, there was a rumor we had a piece of land the town really wanted, there was hope we could work out a deal with then. That was the last time I heard anything, wish something could be worked out

I think it will. There are a few site that could be used. I like the WHS site myself, but there are others. I think getting a land deal is the most important piece to the puzzle.

My son came up with the idea of building a parking deck where Towers - aka Winkler Hall - was let the folks parking out at State Farm park there and use the State Farm parking area for the new track. Get the state to pay for a new parking deck and pay it back with parking fees. I think it's a heck of an idea. I also had the idea of building a parking deck in the valley to the left of Bodenhimer Drive and put the track/soccer facility on top of it. Use the Broyhill Inn site for parking & entrance plus a building with locker rooms, bathrooms & concessions. It's been done before...

With land being a premium especially on campus. It's a great idea!
