The survey ranked UM No. 24 and 17th in the U.S.
The ranking lists the top 100 schools in order, then another 400 schools in groups of 50 to 100. Michigan State ranked No. 99, while Wayne State University was included among schools ranked from No. 301 to 400.

The top school is Harvard University. Following in the top 10 are Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of California-Berkley, University of Cambridge (Great Britain), Princeton University, California Institute of Technology, Columbia University, University of Chicago and the University of Oxford (Great Britain).

Other Big Ten schools in the rankings: the University of Wisconsin (No. 24), Northwestern University (No. 27), University of Illinois (No. 29), University of Minnesota (No. 30), University of Maryland (No. 43), Pennsylvania State University (No. 60), Purdue University (No. 61), Rutgers University (No. 64), Ohio State University (No. 67), Indiana University (No. 101-150), University of Iowa (No. 151-200) and the University of Nebraska (No. 201-300).

This is great for the publish or perish crowd. Other than that, I don't give it much credence.
