A lot of things have to fall into place for a low draft pick or free agent to make a roster. First and foremost make an early impression. Second, stay healthy. Third, hope they are thin at your position, and finally, hope others who are ahead if you have injury problems.
Simmons was never going to make an NFL roster. Carried too much weight. Was never going to create separation at that level. Three more inches and he'd have been an awesome tightend
Has anyone heard any updates on Currie?

They kept him on after he was hurt which says a lot about how they felt about him before he got injured. Hoping for a great preseason for him this year.
