#6 - Texas State

WHAT I LIKE:
I think that Danny Kaspar is one of the outstanding coaches in the Belt. He has his own style, and it is not a spectacular style, but his record at SFA showed that he can get the job done. Emani Grant is one of the best big men in the SBC, and he sticks to his job. (He attempted only one three last year - and made it.) The Bobcats return their entire starting front line. But what makes this team stand out is their defense. It is just hard to score against them.

WHAT I DON'T LIKE:
Kaspar will have to replace his starting guards. However, his first two players off the bench from last year return and may fill that void, plus there is juco help on the way. They are somewhat lacking in team height. This is not a team that is going to overwhelm anyone with their offense.

Maybe this pick is too high, but I like what Kaspar has done here, even in the short time he has been in the conference. Grant is their workhorse and can get the job done. He needs some help on offense, though.
Kasparov can coach. Keith at ulm can coach. I like good coaches too
