Ahead of 5 SEC teams (MSU, TAMU, USC, UK, Vandy), and 30 Power 5 teams in total.

Preseason rankings are meaningless, I know...but simply amazing compared to where we were 4 years ago.

With Boise St ranked #5 it makes our battle to reach the access slot (or any other AAC school) that much more difficult. I think we have a real opportunity to even improve on last season but also 4-5 opportunities to loose ground. A real important year for our FB program - Go Tigers!

Boise's schedule with team rank, only 2 teams in the top 50, BYU and Utah State, both on the road. They could run the table.

Washington - 72
at BYU - 38
Idaho State
at Virginia - 99
Hawaii - 105
at Colorado State - 73
at Utah State - 42
Wyoming - 94
at UNLV - 126
New Mexico - 81
Air Force - 68
at San Jose State - 101

My point exactly, and give them a top 5 start & it's even that much more difficult to overcome.
there's a selection committee now, lets see where they put them if we are both undefeated at the time of the Top 25 issued by them.
The objective source predicts us to be better than all G-5 schools except Cincy and Boise. If we beat Cincy at home (doable) and Boise stubbles (possible), then we will likely be playing in the Access Bowl after winning other games when we are favoried. Beating OM would really help our cause. Unfortunately, we may regret playing and losing to OM when we could have scheduled a more winnable game.

Sorry pet peeve, lose not loose, carry on and GTG.

I don't think a loss to OM keeps us out of a potential Access spot.

Losses to KU or BG absolutely do.
