Finished 3-1 on a trip to China. Beat the Chinese Jr National Team and took two of three against the 3rd best team in the Chinese NBA.
Team is looking strong this year. Lots of depth. Can go big or three guard. The ten China practices and four game tour provide a great head start on the season.

Except that Sampson didn't go to jail for five years. And he didn't hobknob at ESPN like Pearl. He went to the NBA and became an even better coach.

Tom Crean is a good coach but a bizarre human being. Whenever you are the weird Harbaugh, you have issues.
I could see sampson jump to the NBA anytime though. Be funny if they hired Texas southern mike davis as his replacement, going for the former IU coach again. As for IU, they might be pretty good this season but got to wonder how long crean last…probably as long as brad stevens is the celtic coach.

I never said Ford was a good coach. He is clearly not.
I'm still unclear why you fee like Kelvin is some great coach. I don't think he is really missed in Norman. Not sure he harries as much clout as you think.
The top of the AAC is going to be very good next year. SMU/Cincy/UConn have as much college-experienced talented as any 3 teams in any conference and three top-level coaches. The next three Temple/Tulsa/Memphis have some solid players back.. if Houston can go .500 in the league that's a good year for them.

Seriously though, ....have they renovated Hoffines yet? I heard it would be sometime soon but, haven't seen an update. Watching their fb stadium being constructed was fun.
UofH sitting on their hands for 20 some years really killed that schools momentum. What a waste talent and time. Thankfully, they appear to have righted the ship...and are sailing at full(?) speed.
Now, if they can only mend fences with Texas.

I know we knocked off Houston that one time in the 1990 NCAA Tournament. It remains our only win vs UH.

If UofH thinks they are the better athletic dept....then, you should expect Rice to take shots at you. UofH, however....should play it cool with Rice....and take shots at schools you believe are AHEAD of you. Not behind you.
