Former Western Michigan MAC Freshman Basketball Player of the Year and High School Teammate of Nathan Boothe, Darius Paul is in trouble again as he was arrested while in France last Friday with the University of Illinois Basketball Team. He was charged with vandalism, public intoxication and resisting arrest. This comes after a season long suspension last year after transferring to the Illini from WMU for two failed drug tests. I would think his days are numbered in Champaign!
He'll be knocking back on the MAC's door very soon. This should prove to be very interesting relative to where he will pop-up again should UI decide to drop him. Which they should do.
Go Rockets!
Too bad (yes, I am empathetic with an alleged criminal). He was dominating in his Frosh year at WMU- I think he should have stayed. Hope he gets his act together-not sure why a MAC team would take a chance after his problems. Has to be particularly embarrassing for UI to happen while they are guests in a foreign country.
Somehow, I never thought public intoxication would be a crime in France.

You left out his time at a JC.
As expected, Darius Paul has been dismissed from the Illinois basketball team.
