What does the app do?

I don't know how to give a direct link from my phone, but the instructions from this page : http://m.niuhuskies.com/m/sports/m-footb...15aab.html say to search for "Red Black Rewards" in the app store.

It's a loyalty points tracking app for fans. This seems to be how the students will be tracked for their contest.

This points system starts tomorrow with the first home game...men's soccer vs Wisconsin.

I am planning on attending and using the app but it will depend on my kids. If I do I'll give a report.

Simple to check in once I was within 50ft of the gate to the field.

Fairly easy and straightforward to use.


If you go to "Account" then click "Invitation/Promo Code" then enter a user name like NIUHuskieJohn...then I think that person gets some bonus points...anyone want to try that out so I can confirm?

I don't have any new points. I recieved 5 bonus points when I checked in at the game but I don't know why.

A prize store is showing up under "awards". There is a pic of mission with a lock infront of it...anyone else getting that?

There are options under "User Type" for Student, Alum, Fan, Staff & Faculty...so it's not just for the students...though it really hasn't been explained at all other than the bit for the student part.

Not sure how it benefits alumni - I think just a loyalty card thing

Students can win free spring tuition if they attend all 6 home games and stay for the whole game

Still good info though for upcoming events, polls, NIU social media tagged in 1 spot

Literally no students i have talked to or mentioned this to even realized it existed... gotta get the word out there better to people

Even in week 6 of the 2003 football season you could find students in your class who didn't know that our football team was "good".
