Win some, lose some. That would have been a great gig for UT, congrats to EMU for making the deal happen.

Our schedule went from pretty darn exciting the last few years to pretty mid-major humdrum. To each their own I suppose but games even against a good mid-major from out California way would not have been of as much interest to me as against someone coming into the neighborhood and recruiting away players. To be honest, a game against a good mid-major from out California doesn't generate much interest in me on any level. Eh.
I'd rather play Louisville than Kentucky.
Toledo is in the dubious position of being too competitive. UT is not seen as a cupcake, but more of a challenge and a potential loss. Too bad though, because it would have been a highlighted game and pretty simple travel to Lexington.

I wonder if EMU is a D1 school UK is substituting in for an FCS opponent, considering the strength of schedule consideration. ??

That's a point, though still lean slightly Kentucky personally. Probably more potential to be gained in beating Louisville.
Could be EMU's only sellout ever......with 90% of the folks wearing Kentucky Blue..........
Eagles also have a home-and-home with San Diego State.
