Whatever happened to the chant during the opposing player announcements before tip off? I used to love that. We need to bring it back.

I may have two and three reversed but those were the phrases. The band had the signs back in the day.
But back to the topic
Bring the chant back!!
"Who's he?" definitely ruffled feathers at the women's games for the opposing team. lol I miss the days of ODU having meaningful women's hoops.

AD made them stop. Same reason the band and students have been flipping back and forth the past few seasons.

AD made them stop. Same reason the band and students have been flipping back and forth the past few seasons.
I thought the band location moved because JMU complained to the CAA.
Anyways, the chants died when ODAF took over the Monarch Maniacs (at the start of the 5-25 season)
It came back during the NIT game against Murray St. There were a few recent alumni who came back for those games and sat in the front so that may have had something to do with it. I wish we brought them back, I loved when the entire student section would get into it.

Agreed. You can't bridle the students on one hand and complain about lack of student involvement on the other!
Could you imagine the backlash at Duke if they were asked by ANYONE in their admin to tone it down?

Given the opposive PC culture at colleges nowadays, it is probably considered sexist or something by the administration. Might be a Title IX violation.

This was a problem one time when I was in school... I was in the maniac office with friends and the Lady Monarchs were about to play GWU. There was a girl who played for them who was apparently going to go through gender reassignment (after her NCAA eligibility was up, or something like that) and one of the maniac captains told me that we weren't using the "Who's he?" Sign that day and just say "who's she?" As she thought that people may think we were making fun of her. But that was just an internal thing
