I was looking at the utoledorockets snapchat videos from today and noticed the interior field level walls have been upgraded! No longer can you notice the dirt and mold on the walls due to old age. Instead, what looks like soft padding surrounds the entire field in midnight blue, along with yard line markings in white font. Adds quite a different look to the stadium, IMO.
Close up of the upgrade, notice the 'This is our house' signage on the walls still surrounds the field.
Excellent. Now we can pull them up and put them on the bleachers.
Heck, the players rarely get that far off the field anyway.

You know, looking at different pictures, I'm really not sure whether it's padding or paint.
Maybe it's just padding during preseason since they try and usee as much of the field as possible??? Maybe it'll be taken down before games start?

I hope it's this. The bare walls would look great with a nice pressure washing. The blue padding evokes "high school gymnasium" to me.
Its not padding. Press tower side has grey blue primer. Away side was finished today with a yellow line where the old blue line was. Midnight blue takes place of the old concrete color.

Woof. The stripe had better become gold. Also, it appears that zero to less effort was made to have the blue paint and blue sign be anywhere near the same shade of blue. If everything matches up it's at least passable, but so far - with the old stripe and two-tone dark blue motif with the UA ad...

Yep !! Walked around the GB Saturday, and the grey primer on the press box side will be painted over to match the east sideline. Maybe enough blue paint will be left over to touch up a lot of the fading steel beams under the east deck.
Have not heard anything recently in regards to bids to renovate (concessions,restrooms) in the GB. Spoke with MOB a few weeks ago, and he alluded to the fact that the vp of facilities & construction was still in that reviewing process.

In the suggestion department, the applied lettering they put up on the front of the press box tower last year...it's
OK, but it looks kind of weak. It would have been better to do it like they did those metal "Protect This House" signs down on the field. That would look much sharper. Would be a good interim solution until the money is available to install a string of video panels along there.

Can they do something about the concession stands and bathrooms? Would be nice to have a concession stand that had decent food and was up to par with most high school stadiums. Im not asking for it to be like the Mud Hens or Walleye which are excellent, but any improvements would be nice.
