Not generalizations my friend but plenty of personal experiences. If you don't want to admit that that flag has been used and continues to be used by racists that's your call.

"That" flag was hijacked by morons. Again, we've been a scapegoat. Funny how few gaf about my Cherokee ancestors getting driven out under another flag. Point being, history is written by the victors.

If your state hadn't supported slavery and openly sold them on the steps of your courthouse, while using that flag during battle to protect your "right" to sell other humans, then I could possibly support your case... Unfortunately I am a certified History teacher and know that this line of bull**** argument is incorrect.

This flag wasn't hijacked at all. It was actively used during the civil war, by your state in part to keep the right to sell humans. Defend that and when you cant admit that its a symbol of racism and have th decency to remove it because it ******* offensive to all who came from those that were captured, sold and murdered buy those within your state.

It wasnt just the KKK that used it. So your argument is false.

The North had slaves, New Englanders brought them her and sold them, the South just had more. You'll never catch me defending the act of slavery but I'm not stupid enough to fall for this tired BS.

There was no worthy cause the North was fighting for beyond control of the US economic engine which at that time was agriculture. I doubt it's a coinidence that Lincoln suddenly had an about face on his racist views when he declared slaves free just as all hell broke loose.

The men who actually did the fighting were fighting for the South did so to protect their families and homes. +90% of the CSA Army never owned a slave. They were far and away poor white men. My family at the time would've been called "poor white trash" if you've seen Gone With the Wind. Guys like them and me just want to be left alone.

Most of the slave owners were the white elites / plantation owners. Just like today they're the folks that had the most influence in government. More often than not, government ***** up when people allow them to have too much power.

The flag doesn't mean "slavery is good" despite your bull**** rhetoric.
Where is the rest of this convo?

Nevermind, found it.
